The Voltaire Institute and Museum is a cultural institution in Geneva dedicated to the life and works of the French Enlightenment writer Voltaire. Situated approximately 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes by public transport from Geneva's city center, it offers visitors a glimpse into Voltaire's residence during his stay from 1755 to 1760.

The property that now houses the Mus_e Voltaire was bought by Geneva in 1929. Now, this museum contains a library with 25,000 written volumes on Voltaire. Apart from that, it also proudly displays an array of paintings and prints from the 18th century. Several of these paintings depict Voltaire himself, his family and his friends. This museum is a true haven for art and history lovers, alike. Entry into the museum is free, so it'll make your visit hassle free.
