Hawai in Mishmi language means pond and this beautiful spot is located 1296 meters above sea level. This place is known for the ethnicity and lovely chilly weather around it.

People usually spend their leisure time near the bridge built over the Lohit river. There are numerous fields of pineapple, oranges, kiwi, bajra, large cardamom and maize in the vicinity adding to the spectacular panorama. Hawai is closest to Hayuliang meaning "Place of my liquor" in Mishmi language. It is situated 750 meters above sea level and is blessed with the with the eye catching view of convergence of the Dalai and the Lohit river
