Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City - Street Food Tour
  • On arrival at Ho Chi Minh Airport, transfer to the hotel and check-in.
  • Spend the time at leisure.
  • Later, you will be picked up for the street food tour.
  • Enjoy Ho Chi Minh city’s best street food.
  • Sample a range of dishes in a little neighborhood serving cheap and cheerful street food for nearly 30 years.
  • We’ll take you to and from the tour area by xe om (motorbike taxis).
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh.
  • After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels. These tunnels were a part of the extensive underground network that the Vietnamese Congress used as a hideaway during the war. You can now go through some of the safer parts of the tunnel to experience the conditions of the Vietcong during the war.
  • Before entering the tunnels, you will watch a short introductory video showing how they were constructed.
  • Afterward, spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels.
  • Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank, as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500-pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers.
  • Return to Ho Chi Minh.
  • After lunch, proceed for sightseeing in Ho Chi Minh.
  • Visit the Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Post Office, and Ben Thanh Market.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh.
  • After breakfast, you will be picked up and proceed to Ben Tre province.
  • On arrival, take a boat on Ben Tre River.
  • Enjoy sightseeing lively activities along river.
  • Stop at local brick kilns to see how to make bricks in handy traditional style.
  • Continue going through palm tree-lined canals and visit one of the coconut-processing workshops located along the canal.
  • Take a short walk to a family workshop where they make traditional mats and enjoy some fruits and tea.
  • Later, take a motor cart or cycle riding on the shady road, pass by green fields and vegetable plantations and find out about tropical culture from peasants.
  • Have lunch at Coconut Riverside Restaurant.
  • After lunch, take rowing boats along water palm creek back to the pier.
  • Return to Ho Chi Minh city.
  • Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh.
  • After breakfast, proceed to Mui Ne.
  • On arrival in Mui Ne, check in to the hotel.
  • Later, visit a fishing village (seasonal) and the White and Yellow Sand Dunes.
  • Also, visit a small stand of pine trees sitting on the bank of the lake (Bàu Trắng) overlooking the sand dunes.
  • Afterward, you can spend the time swimming or sunbathing.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Mui Ne.
  • After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board the flight to Hanoi.
  • On arrival in Hanoi, proceed for a city tour with lunch at the beginning.
  • After lunch, visit Ho Chi Minh Complex, the complex includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, House-on-Stilts, and the Ho Chi Minh Museum.
  • Afterward, visit the Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple, and Hoan Kiem Lake.
  • Later, proceed for a one-hour cycle tour through the Old Quarter.
  • At the end of the tour, proceed to the Water Puppet Show theater to enjoy the show.
  • Afterward, check in to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Hanoi.
  • After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and then drive to Halong Bay.
  • On arrival at Halong Bay, embark on V’Spirit Classic Cruise followed by a short cruise briefing.
  • Have lunch as V’Spirit Classic cruises among the limestone islands.
  • Later, explore the Sung Sot Cave.
  • Cruise to Ti Top island.
  • You can go swimming and relax at the beach of Ti Top.
  • OR climb up to the top of the island for a panorama view of Halong Bay.
  • Return to the main boat and continue cruising to the quiet area while enjoying the seascape on the way.
  • Enjoy Sunset Party on the sundeck.
  • Have dinner on board the cruise.
  •  Overnight stay on board on the cruise in Halong Bay.
  • Start your day early in the morning with Tai Chi exercises or a photo hunt.
  • Have breakfast on board.
  • Later, you can kayak among the hidden areas of the bay, around the Man’s Head Islet area.
  • Return to the boat.
  • Continue your cruise exploring the Bay.
  • Pass by Ba Hang fishing village and Dog Islet.
  • While heading back to the harbor, watch the fruit carving demonstration and participate in the Cooking Class before enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch.
  • Return back to Hanoi.
  • On arrival in Hanoi, check in to the hotel.

What's Good: We liked every aspect of the tour to Bhutan. The tour and travel agent M/s A V travels Jaigon has done a great job to make the tour very much enjoyable. The hiking to tiger's nes (Read More)t was a challenging one for us the senior citizens ( excluding my son) but gave us much satisfaction. The guide Mr. Tashi was of great help and care. What's Not Good: The fees charged at some places we felt bit higher.

What's Good: ## Bhutan Experience Our journey through Bhutan was largely impressive, with knowledgeable guides who showcased the country's rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes with g (Read More)enuine enthusiasm. The drivers navigated the winding mountain roads with skill and professionalism, ensuring our comfort throughout most of the journey. However, our second night at Paro Rema Resort fell short of expectations in terms of dining. The food quality was disappointing compared to other meals we enjoyed in Bhutan, lacking both flavor and presentation that would be expected at a resort of this caliber. ## Sikkim Portion The transition between destinations proved problematic. Our transfer from Bhutan to Gangtok felt unnecessarily rushed, with a driver who seemed more concerned with completing the journey quickly than ensuring passenger comfort or allowing us to appreciate the scenic route. Upon arrival in Gangtok, we were pleased with our hotel's prime location on MG Road, offering convenient access to local attractions, shopping, and dining options. Unfortunately, the hotel's service standards did not match its excellent location. Staff responsiveness was inconsistent, and several basic amenities were either missing or required multiple requests. Overall, while the Bhutan portion of our tour delivered a memorable experience, the Sikkim segment would benefit from significant improvements to transportation and accommodation service quality.

What's Good: Our trip to Bhutan was unexpected and was very last minutes plan, however our agent Reshma from Yolmo holiday successfully made it worth of money and time both… our guide Sonam De (Read More)na and driver Thupten were both the best I could ever tell, they are very kind and were very adjustable when we changed our itinerary the last minute. We are so satisfied with our trip and will definitely recommend them to our friends and family circle.
