Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Sri Lanka and Transfer to Kandy
  • When you arrive at the airport in Sri Lanka, you will be received by one of the representatives. We will ensure your smooth road transfer to Kandy.
On the way Stops :
  • Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. (Where 78 elephants are orphaned).
  •  Mawanella brick bridge (The 100-Year-old bridge built by British colonials).
  • Spice Garden.
  • In the afternoon, have lunch and check in to the hotel and rest.
  • Kadugannawa View Point. 
  • Railway Museum.
  • Check in to Hotel In the evening : 
  • Walk around Kandy Lake to enjoy the Kandy city climate.
  • Watch a Kandy Cultural dance at 5.00 PM.
  • Botanical Garden (a pleasure garden of a Kandyan King of the 16th Century and attracts 2 million visitors annually. Later, it was made into a Botanical Garden during the British). 
  • City Center Shopping Mall.
  • Visit Dalada Maligava (Temple of the tooth) 
  • Gem shop and museum. 
  • Souvenir shop, Silk Garden. 
  • Kandy Market. 
  • Woodcraft shop.
  • After breakfast, travel to Nuwara Eliya, it’s a 2h 27 min drive (75.6 km).
On the way to Nuwara Eliya, visit:

  • After lunch, check in to the hotel and rest.
In the evening,

We were a family of 5 including one toddler and 2 senior citizens.Chamil, our travel agent, was very polite and professional throughout the trip. He was diligent in taking all reviews everyday. Kumara (Read More), our driver never felt like a third person. Went above and beyond to ensure we had the best of experiences. Provided many valuable insights. Would highly recommend Chamil and Kumara if anyone planning trip to Sri Lanka. Indeed a pleasant experience with Global Island tour operators.

Mr Abdul helped and guided us for my itinary. He made very good arrangement for car and best driver. He asked whether we are comfortable or not throughout the trip. Driver provided to us was very nice (Read More) and cooperative. He took care of all the needs given that old parents were with me. I had great trip and we enjoyed a lot. I would again love to go to Srilanka with heartattached.
