Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Colombo – Negombo
Your spiritual journey begins upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake. After a warm welcome, you’ll drive to Colombo and head straight to the Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple, the only shrine dedicated to Lord Hanuman in his five-faced form. Later, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Colombo, covering key colonial landmarks, vibrant markets, and temples. In the evening, unwind at your hotel in Negombo.
After breakfast, travel north to the sacred town of Chilaw. Here, you will visit the Munneswaram Temple, where Lord Rama is believed to have prayed to Lord Shiva following his victory over Ravana. Later, stop at the Manavari Temple, notable as the site where the first Shiva Lingam was installed by Lord Rama himself. Post these spiritual experiences, continue your scenic drive to Dambulla for an overnight stay.
Begin the day with a morning excursion to the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dramatic rock face, frescoes, and breathtaking panoramic views. Post lunch, drive to the coastal town of Trincomalee. Once there, visit the revered Koneswaram Temple perched on Swami Rock and explore Lover’s Leap. You’ll also have a chance to soak your feet in the natural hot springs of Kanniyai, long believed to possess healing powers. Check in at your hotel in Trincomalee for the night.
After breakfast, leave the eastern shores and journey inland to the historic city of Kandy. En route, stop at Matale Spice Garden for a guided walk through aromatic herbs and spices used in Ayurvedic healing. Once in Kandy, visit the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), which houses the sacred tooth of the Buddha. In the evening, enjoy a lively cultural dance performance that showcases traditional Kandyan music and movement. Overnight stay in Kandy.
This morning, travel towards the central highlands, stopping first at the Bhakta Hanuman Temple in Ramboda. Continue to admire the natural beauty at Ramboda Falls before reaching Nuwara Eliya, known as ‘Little England’ for its colonial charm and cool climate. In the afternoon, visit the Seetha Amman Temple in Seetha Eliya, a spiritually significant site believed to be where Sita was held captive by Ravana. Spend your evening exploring the scenic surroundings of Nuwara Eliya. Overnight stay at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
After breakfast, embark on one of the most scenic train rides in Sri Lanka as you journey from Nuwara Eliya to Ella. Upon arrival, visit the Divurumpola Temple, a sacred place said to be the site where Sita underwent her Agni Pariksha. Later, explore the photogenic Nine Arches Bridge and enjoy a short hike to Little Adam’s Peak for sweeping valley views. Settle in for the night at a charming hotel in Ella.
Start your day with a drive to the sacred town of Kataragama, a revered pilgrimage destination for Hindus, Buddhists, and Muslims alike. In the afternoon, visit the Kataragama Temple, dedicated to Lord Skanda (Murugan), and later attend the evening pooja, a vibrant and spiritual ritual that attracts devotees from all over the island. Overnight stay in Kataragama.
After breakfast, travel southward along the coast to the fortified city of Galle. Explore the well-preserved Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that offers a glimpse into the island’s colonial past. Also, visit Rumassala Hill, which, according to legend, is a piece of the Dronagiri mountain dropped by Hanuman while carrying Sanjeevani. In the evening, return to Colombo for your final overnight stay.
Spend your final morning indulging in some last-minute shopping or, if time permits, try your luck at a local casino. Later, you’ll be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure, carrying home sacred memories of your spiritual and cultural journey through Sri Lanka.
