Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 COLOMBO ARRIVAL
- Arrive at Colombo airport and transfer to your hotel.
- Rest of the day at leisure
- Visit a local market or head to the beach for an evening stroll.
- Overnight at your hotel in Colombo.
Day 2 COLOMBO TO SIGIRIYA BY ROAD (APPROX 04 HRS)
- Breakfast at the hotel then transfers to Habarana by road.
- Enroute, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
- On arrival in Habarana, check in at your hotel.
- Habarana is the gateway to Sigiriya, known for its Rock Fortress on a lofty perch – you visit this tomorrow.
- Overnight at your hotel in Habarana.
Day 3 ARRIVAL IN COLOMBO
- After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Rock Fortress in Sigiriya - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- The 5th-century‘ Fortress in the Sky’ boasts a triple-moated defence, and the huge rock rises almost 500 feet.
- Thereafter experience the thrill of a Jeep safari at the Minneriya National park.
- During the safari, you can spot a herd of wild Asian elephants.
- Return to your hotel for some well-deserved rest.
- Overnight stay at your hotel in Habarana.
Day 4 COLOMBO TO SIGIRIYA BY ROAD
- After breakfast, proceed to Kandy by road.
- Enroute, visit Dambulla Rock Temple - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Also, visit a Spice Garden in Matale.
- On arrival in Kandy, check in at your hotel.
- Rest of the evening at leisure.
- Overnight at your hotel in Kandy.
Day 5 KANDY - BUDDHA'S TOOTH TEMPLE
- After breakfast, visit the sacred Temple of the (Buddha’s) Tooth Relic and thereafter witness a cultural show.
- Rest of the day at leisure, perhaps browse at a local market.
- Later witness a cultural show with vibrant costumes and pulsating rhythms of traditional dance forms.
- Overnight at your hotel in Kandy.
Day 6 HABARANA (SIGIRIYA) – MATALE – KANDY
- After breakfast proceeds to the hill station of Nuwara Eliya and enjoys cooler weather.
- Enroute, visit Ramboda waterfalls and sample tea at a tea factory located amidst lush tea gardens.
- On arrival in Nuwara Eliya, check-in for an overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 7 NUWARA ELIYA TO YALA BY ROAD (APPROX 04 HRS)
- After breakfast, proceed to Yala, known for its wildlife national park.
- Enroute pass through Ella - a quiet hill country town that draws visitors to its cool climate and its picturesque setting amidst mountains. The towering mass of Ella Rock presides regally over the area, and the mountain pass known as Ella Gap offers spectacular views right across the distant valleys all the way to the South Coast.
- Continue onto Yala and, on arrival check-in at the hotel.
- Overnight at your hotel in Yala.
Day 8 YALA SAFARI - TO BENTOTA BY ROAD (APPROX 04.5 HRS)
- Morning Safari in a 4WD vehicle at the Yala National Park (0530 AM – 0930 AM).
- Located near the Indian Ocean, Yala National Park is a haven for indigenous and migrant Fauna. This park is famous for its Elephants, Leopards, Bears, and Crocodiles. Plus, near the water bodies, one can see a variety of bird species, including Flamingoes, Pelicans, Spoonbills, Cormorants, and Herons. Peacocks and Wild Buffaloes are a common sight.
- After the exciting safari, return back to the hotel for breakfast.
- After breakfast, proceed to Bentota / Beruwala by road.
- On arrival in the beach town of Bentota (Beruwala), check in at your resort for an overnight stay.
Day 9 BENTOTA - OPTIONAL TOURS
- After breakfast, there is an option to visit a Turtle Hatchery or go for a wildlife-watching boat trip on the Madu River.
- Else choose to chill at your resort and sip tropical cocktails by the beach.
- Overnight at your resort in Bentota/Beruwala.
Day 10 BENTOTA - BEACH
- After breakfast, rest of the day at leisure.
- Do what you like – perhaps get a suntan while snoozing by the beach.
- Overnight at your resort in Bentota / Beruwala.
Day 11 BENTOTA – COLOMBO AIRPORT DEPARTURE (APPROX 03 HRS)
- After breakfast, checkout & proceed to Colombo.
- Optional city tour of Colombo - See the old Parliament, BMICH, and visit Fort Bazaar.
- After the tour, head to the airport in time to catch your return flight.

We recently visited Sri-Lanka with Roundtrip Sri lanka, It was indeed an unforge (Read More)ttable experience we had from the time we landed at Colombo Airport till our return back for the flight.
Vikky Sir, has assisted us during our visit for a week, our itinerary was well planned and selections of the place and interest to visit was very encouraging.
Vikky worked as a true gem for complete travel duration took us to all the main points of interest we wanted to visit during our stay, He is very trustworthy and professional in his work. He look after to our travel requirement and make sure we complete them as well.
Another plus for his side is the punctuality, he was always their waiting for us in the morning at designated time to make sure we do not miss our day plan in a rush but with ease and enjoyment.
He took us to the Tea Factory, and the experience was truly amazing visiting the tea factory and tea gardens really was one of the agenda in our tour and this was possible with Vikky’s guidance.

The Guide cum driver Premarathna was very warm and friendly. Well maintained car (Read More). We didnt have to hurry through anywhere and remained relaxed throughout.
Since we had insisted upon vegetarian food, the hotels did manage their best to provide us something palatable to us throughout.
The morning breakfast tea at Bentota was the best ever we had in Sri Lanka
The Accommodation at Kandy was a huge letdown. A 20 year old building which was (Read More) under renovation and the room had lizards moving around ! The courteouness of the staff was the saving grace there.
The Bentota resort though good had a lizard too in the room when we entered. fortunately the housekeeping staff removed it.
