Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Bagdogra and Transfer to Gangtok - Leisure Day
- Pick-up at NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport.
- Transfer to Gangtok (5500ft /130kms / 04 hrs.)
- On arrival check in to the hotel.
- Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 2 A Full Day Sightseeing Tour of Gangtok Attractions
- After breakfast, sightseeing in Gangtok.
- Visit Bhanjhakri waterfalls, Research Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday & govt. Holidays), Do-Drul Chorten, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom(Closed on Sunday & Govt. Holidays), Nam Nang View point & Flower Show, Ropeway.
- After the sightseeing return to the hotel.
- Spend the evening at leisure.
- Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 3 Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
- In the morning at around 07.30 am depart for Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir.
- Return to the hotel.
- Overnight stay at Gangtok.
- In case of a landslide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed, we will provide alternate sightseeing.
- * Nathula pass sightseeing can be available at non-refundable (optional).
- You have to inform at least 72 hours before your travel.
- * At any point in time, after getting pass from Sikkim Government, there will be no refund in case you cannot visit due to bad weather conditions or landslides, or any other reason.
- No alternate sightseeing will be provided for Nathu La Pass.
Day 4 Transfer to Lachung - Visit Waterfalls, Viewpoints and More
- Pick-up from hotel at Gangtok at about 10 a.m. depart for Lachung (124 Km, 6 Hrs) at an altitude of 9,600 ft.
- On the way visit a few wonderful locations like Tashi Viewpoint, Kabi Lungchok, Naga Waterfalls, the confluence of Lachen Chu (river), and Lachung Chu (river) at Chungthang, Twin Waterfalls, and Bhim Nala Waterfalls.
- Lunch will be served at Namok.
- Reach Lachung in the late afternoon/evening and check-in at the hotel.
- Overnight stay at Lachung.
Day 5 Full-day Excursion to Yumthang Valley & Hot Spring - Back to Gangtok
- After breakfast full-day excursion to Yumthang Valley & Hot Spring (11800ft / 1½ Hrs).
- After lunch, transfer to Gangtok (124kms/06hrs).
- On arrival check on to the hotel.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
- *Note: Visitors may visit Yumesamdong or Zero Point if they want.
- *Zero-point is close to Yumesamdong, although contrary to popular belief they are not the same places.
- *After reaching Yumesamdong, one needs to walk a little to reach the Zero point.
- *Officially one is not allowed to visit Yumesamdong/Zero Point.
- *You can visit on a direct payment basis of approx 2500/-
Day 6 Transfer to Pelling - Visit Tea Garden on the Way
- After breakfast transfer to Pelling via Namchi.
- On the way visit Temi Tea Garden, Char Dham Temple, Samdruptse Temple.
- After sightseeing proceed to Pelling.
- On arrival check in to the hotel.
- Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 7 A Full Day of Exploring Waterfalls, Lake and Ruins in Pelling
- After breakfast, sightseeing in Pelling.
- Visit Rimbi Waterfalls, Rimbi Hydel Project, Rabdentse Ruins, Khecheopalri Lake & Kanchenjunga Falls, Pemayangtse Monastery.
- Return to the hotel.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8 Transfer to Kalimpong - Enjoy the Local Market in Evening
- After breakfast transfer to Kalimpong.
- Sightseeing on the way.
- On arrival check in to the hotel.
- Evening free for leisure.

Day 9 Half-Day Kalimpong Sightseeing Tour - Transfer to Darjeeling
- After Breakfast at 8 am, sightseeing in Kalimpong.
- Visit Deolo Hill, Dr. Graham’s Home, Flower Nurseries, Jang-Dong-Palriffro-Brang Gompa & Durbin Dara Hills.
- After sightseeing transfer to Darjeeling.
- On arrival check in to the hotel.

Day 10 Sunrise at Tiger Hill - Explore Darjeeling
- In the early morning tour to Tiger Hills (at around 4 am) to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather).
- On the way back visit Batasia Loop & Ghoom Monastery.
- After breakfast, leave for a city tour of Darjeeling.
- Visit Padmaja Naidu Himalaya Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, (Closed on Thursday), Happy Valley Tea Estate, Tenzing Rock & Gombu Rock & Tibetan Refugee Self – Help Center (Closed on Sunday).
- After lunch visit White Pagoda, Ava Art Gallery & Natural History Museum.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11 Depart from Darjeeling - Tour Ends
- After breakfast leave Darjeeling.
- Transfer NJP railway station/IXB Airport( 75 km / 3 hrs) for the onwards journey.

One aspect that i think can be done better is planning for permits. Documents re (Read More)quired for permits were asked for at the last moment when I was already in my journey and I had to struggle to find the relevant documents while in the cab. This can be planned better
