Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Guwahati & Transfer to Shillong
- On arrival at Guwahati meet and receive assistance from our representative at the airport/railway station.
- Proceed to Shillong, also called 'Scotland of the East".
- Reach the majestic Umium Lake (Barapani).
- You may do the water sports here (Optional).
- On arrival at Shillong, check-in at your hotel.
- In the evening you can visit Police Bazaar which the biggest local market.
- Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 2 Shillong to Mawlynnong Village & Back
- After breakfast visit Mawlynnong Village the cleanest village in India. It is situated 90 km. from Shillong.
- Visit Living Root Bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock.
- Visit Dawki, which is along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
- Enjoy boating in the crystal clear waters of the Umgnot River.
- Visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak for some breathtaking views.
- Evening return to Shillong
- Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 3 Shillong to Cherrapunjee
- Get up early today to enjoy the mesmerizing mornings of Shillong.
- After an early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee, this is the wettest place in the world.
- Visit Eco Park, Dainthlen Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Falls), Mawsmai Cave, Thangkharang Park.
- Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
Day 4 Explore Cherrapunjee
- After breakfast, we proceed for a full day of trekking to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge at Nongriat Village.
- Trek down 3200 steps approximately, each way to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge.
- We can trek down further to the Rainbow Falls which take about 60 to 90 minutes from the Double Decker Living Root Bridge.
- In the evening return to Cherrapunjee.
- Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
Day 5 Departure
- After breakfast check out from the hotel.
- Then proceed to Guwahati.
- En route in Shillong (if time permits) visit Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures, Ward's Lake where you can enjoy boating, Cathedral Catholic Church and Lady Hydari Park.
- Proceed to Guwahati and transfer to airport/railway station for onward journey.

The trip was well planned by Sizra, she understood our requirements and curated (Read More)finest itinerary. She stays were thoughtfully picked. The weather complimented all the planned activities throughout the journey.
Few places were closed (like Shillong peak, Guwahati Museum, etc) and that could (Read More) have been informed prior to our journey start, since we understood the closure after reaching the points.
