Day 1 Arrival in Gangtok
- Begin your journey with a warm welcome at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP).
- Transfer to Gangtok, the vibrant capital of Sikkim, through a scenic 4-hour drive alongside the picturesque Teesta River.
- Check in to your hotel upon arrival and relax.
- In the evening, stroll through MG Marg, Gangtok’s bustling hub, ideal for shopping and savoring local delicacies.
- Gangtok, located at an altitude of 1,650m, is a paradise known for its stunning views of the Himalayas, vibrant culture, and serene monasteries.

Day 2 Gangtok – Lachen (122 km / 6-7 Hours)
- After an early breakfast, embark on your journey to Lachen, a tranquil mountain village at 9,000 feet.
- En route, visit:
Tashi View Point: Offers breathtaking panoramic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and surrounding peaks.
Seven Sisters Waterfalls: Named for its cascading seven stages, this is a picture-perfect spot for nature lovers.
Naga Waterfalls: A perennial waterfall created by the confluence of the Lachen-Chu and Lachung-Chu rivers.
Kabi Longstok: A historical site marking the signing of a treaty between the Lepcha and Bhutia tribes. - Lunch will be provided at a local village en route.
- Arrive in Lachen by evening and check in to your hotel.
- Lachen Monastery: Visit this serene monastery built in 1858 in Tibetan architectural style, showcasing the region’s rich Buddhist heritage.

Day 3 Lachen – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung (119 km / 6-7 Hours)
- Early morning (around 5:00 AM), drive to Gurudongmar Lake, situated at an altitude of 17,800 feet.
- Enjoy the rugged beauty of Thangu Valley en route.
Gurudongmar Lake:
One of the highest and holiest lakes in the world, revered by Buddhists and Hindus.
The partially frozen lake remains milky in color year-round and is believed to fulfill wishes.
Spend time soaking in the tranquility and taking photographs of this ethereal location. - Return to Lachen for lunch and then drive to Lachung (2-3 hours).
- Arrive in Lachung by evening, check in to your hotel, and relax.
- Lachung, located at 2,700 meters, is a serene village offering picturesque landscapes and warm hospitality.

Day 4 Lachung – Yumthang Valley – Gangtok (140 km / 6-7 Hours)
- After an early breakfast, head to Yumthang Valley, the "Valley of Flowers," at an altitude of 3,564 meters.
- Explore its meadows adorned with vibrant rhododendrons (seasonal) and snow-clad peaks.
- Visit the Yumthang Hot Springs, renowned for their therapeutic properties.
- Optional: Visit Zero Point (Yumesamdong) at 15,300 feet (extra cost), a stunning location where the road ends, and snow remains year-round.
- Return to Lachung for lunch and then proceed to Gangtok.
- En route, enjoy the beautiful views of North Sikkim’s rivers, forests, and mountains.
- Arrive in Gangtok by evening for a drop-off at your desired location or hotel.

The drivers from Gangtok to Sikkim was too good ..no rash driving and skilled one with good communication abilities.
Our driver prashant and Saroj were so coperative and gentlemen.
I would like to prefer others to go with krishna travel DMC ?
Only lachung hotels service was not upto mark having issues with water facilities

Excellent Travel Experience with Krishna Travels DMC
We visited North Sikkim (Read More)and Darjeeling for 6 nights and 7 days from Hyderabad, and the entire trip was well planned by Anuradha from Krishna Travels DMC.
Everything was smooth and hassle free. The itinerary, hotel arrangements, drivers, food, and overall coordination were handled perfectly. The planning was well balanced, making our journey comfortable and enjoyable.
Hotels we stayed at were Aurora Gangtok in Gangtok, which was a good stay overall with only minor internet connectivity issues. In Lachung, we stayed at Rufina Lachung Kunga, which was good and comfortable. In Darjeeling, we stayed at Aurora Grand Darjeeling, which was a pleasant stay.

I have always booked with premium travel agencies like MakeMyTrip and I was apprehensive about booking with MakeMyTravls but the overall experience was great and fantastic
One aspect that i think can be done better is planning for permits. Documents re (Read More)quired for permits were asked for at the last moment when I was already in my journey and I had to struggle to find the relevant documents while in the cab. This can be planned better
