Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO).
Our friendly representative will meet and greet you.
Transferred and checked-in to the hotel.
Transfer can be provided to visit Nairobi National Park or the Karen Blixen Museum.
Spend the night in Nairobi.

Day 2 Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, depart for the unique Samburu National Reserve.
Check in at the chosen lodge or camp at Samburu.
Lunch will be served at the reserve.
In the afternoon, embark on a game drive in Samburu, known for its unique wildlife like the Grevy's zebra and Somali ostrich.
Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay in Samburu.

Day 3 Aberdare National Park

Begin the day with breakfast and a drive to Aberdare National Park.
Check in at the forest lodge or camp in Aberdare.
Lunch will be provided at the lodge.
Choose from the option to explore the Aberdare Country Club, including a forest hike or a game drive.
Enjoy wildlife viewing from the lodge, which overlooks a waterhole.
Dinner will be served at the lodging, followed by an overnight stay in Aberdare.

Day 4 Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, head to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Check in at your selected lodge or camp upon arrival.
Lunch will be served within the park.
In the afternoon, embark on a game drive to witness the famous flamingos, rhinos, and other wildlife.
Visit Baboon Cliff for breathtaking views.
Have dinner and spend the night within Lake Nakuru National Park.

Day 5 Masai Mara National Reserve

Have breakfast and drive to the world-renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Check in at the lodge or camp in Masai Mara.
Lunch will be served at the reserve.
Engage in a guided walk safari in the reserve.
Have dinner and spend the night in Masai Mara.

Day 6 Adventure at Masai Mara

Start the day with an optional hot air balloon safari.
Enjoy a full day of game drives in the Masai Mara to witness the Big Five and the Great Migration (seasonal).
Have a picnic lunch during the game drive.
There's also an option to visit a Maasai village to learn about their rich culture.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and the second overnight stay in Masai Mara.

Day 7 Masai Mara to Nairobi (Departure)

Final day starts with an early morning game drive, followed by breakfast at the lodge.
Return to Nairobi.
Conclude the tour with a transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure.

Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.

The entire trip was handled with extreme professionalism by both Janet and our g (Read More)uide Bonnie. We got to see the Big5 within 3 days of our itenary and more on the next days. Janet was very thorough with our itenary and helped us throughout and Bonnie knew all the best spots on all of our game drives. We didn't feel rushed throughout our tour, because it is designed very well to accomodate enough rest. 10/10 recommend

From the very beginning, Christine and Judith from Donwel Tours were highly atte (Read More)ntive to what we were looking to get from our first ever trip to Kenya, and Africa, for that matter. We wanted to cover a lot of ground, and were going from one agency to another before we found Donwel as most agents couldn't quite squeeze everything we wanted into our itinerary. Judith and Christine however made it all possible. Good quality stays everywhere, regular communication through the trip to ensure we were ok and were getting what we wanted.
