Day 1 Arrive in Guwahati - Attend a Cultural Evening
- Upon arrival in Guwahati, meet a representative who will transfer you to the hotel for an overnight stay.
- In the evening, visit Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra and experience a cultural evening.
- Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 2 Transfer to Shillong - En Route Visit Umiam Lake
- In the early morning after breakfast, proceed towards the capital of Meghalaya, Shillong (100 km/2 hrs).
- En-route visit Umiam Lake, one of the prominent attractions of Meghalaya.
- Optional water sports like water cycling, kayaking, scooting and boating can be availed at Umiam Lake.
- After the active excursion, proceed towards Hotel Pinewood for lunch and rest.
- In the evening, visit the Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Cultures.
- Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 3 Excursion to Cherrapunjee - Visit Mawphlang Sacred Grove, Waterfalls and Caves
- After breakfast, depart for the tour of Cherrapunjee (54 Km/2 hr); the second wettest on earth and the rainiest in India.
- Visit the Mawphlang Sacred Grove which is bestowed with an amazing flora featuring plants, flowering trees, orchids, butterflies and is an ideal eco-tourism destination.
- Continue the day’s mesmerizing excursion with a visit to Cherrapunjee waterfalls and caves etc.
- Return to Shillong.
- Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 4 Excursion to Mawlynnong and Dawki
- Begin the morning with a drive to Mawlynnong Village (97 km/3 hrs.) to see Living Root Bridge, one of the iconic attractions of Meghalaya.
- Walk on the suspended natural-grown bridge, it is an exciting experience in the state.
- Continue the day with a visit to Dawki (30 Km/1 hr.) known for its many adventure camps and adventure activities.
- Drive from Dawki to Shillong (82 Km/1.5 hrs.).
- Overnight in Shillong.
Day 5 Depart for Guwahati
- Check out from the hotel in Shillong.
- Drive to Guwahati (100 Km/2 hrs.) to board the flight for onward destination.

I had booked 7D trip to Meghalaya. Driver and Sedan car provided was good.
Out (Read More) of the three stays,
First one - Woodland hill stay at Shillong was like a home stay accommodation with limited meal option and complimentary breakfast was just one item. Food was ok.
Second one - Riverside resort at Cherapunjee was like a hotel stay but very limited meal option and the location of the resort is far away from main road and the connection roads were not that good. Complimentary breakfast is just ok ok type with one main item.
Third one - Treetops residency at Shillong was like a typical hotel stay with good meal option. complimentary breakfast is good with two items. In addition, so many hotels are near police bazar (shillong) where we can try different cuisines.
Driver took us to the places as mentioned in itinerary for the first 4 days.
Remaining 3 days, driver told the tourist spots mentioned in the itinerary are n (Read More)ot that great and took us only to two places. As per the information provided upfront, parking fee is part of the package whereas during the travel, driver paid parking fee only in few areas and we paid in most of the spots. A clear communication about parking fee should have been provided to the driver and travels contact person should ensure that tourist spot visit as per itinerary is happening on daily basis. Since we were from Southern part of India, we were little hesitant to speak out and had language barrier to ask the same to driver.

I got to plan my visit to Meghalaya and cherapunji with my family. I got a custo (Read More)mised plan from Onn tour vacation (Debashree Dutt) as per my ask. The trip was really smooth and support provided during accomodation was tremendous. Last but not least the driver who guided us throughout the trip Mr. Aijul Khan never seen such a humble person who helped us smooth transition to all the spot.
Couldn't cover couple of places like Dawki and shillong peak that could have bee (Read More)n managed better.
