Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in

Arrive in Paro, Bhutan's only international airport.
Drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, which takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Check into your hotel and rest after your journey.
In the afternoon, visit the National Memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong, and the Craft Bazaar.
Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 2 Thimphu - Punakha

After breakfast, drive to Punakha, a beautiful valley located about 2.5 to 3 hours from Thimphu.
En route, stop at Dochula Pass to enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Visit Punakha Dzong, one of the most impressive and historic dzongs in Bhutan.
Hike to Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of the Divine Madman.
Overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 3 Punakha - Phobjikha

Drive to Phobjikha, a glacial valley and a designated conservation area.
Visit the Gangtey Monastery and take a leisurely walk in the Phobjikha Valley to spot black-necked cranes (seasonal).
Explore the quaint village and learn about the unique culture of the local people.
Overnight stay in Phobjikha.

Day 4 Phobjikha - Trongsa

Depart for Trongsa, a historical town located about 4 to 5 hours from Phobjikha.
Visit Trongsa Dzong, an impressive fortress that once served as the seat of power for Bhutan's rulers.
Explore the Ta Dzong, a watchtower that has been converted into a museum.
Overnight stay in Trongsa.

Day 5 Trongsa - Bumthang

Drive to Bumthang, a district known for its religious significance and picturesque landscapes.
Visit Jakar Dzong, the administrative center of Bumthang.
Explore the Jambay Lhakhang and Kurjey Lhakhang, two of Bhutan's oldest and most sacred temples.
Overnight stay in Bumthang.

Day 6 Bumthang Exploration

Spend a full day exploring Bumthang's attractions.
Visit Tamshing Lhakhang, known for its ancient wall paintings.
Hike to the remote and sacred Mebar Tsho (Burning Lake).
Explore the Swiss Farm area, where you can try local cheese and fruit products.

Day 7 Bumthang - Thimphu

Drive back to Thimphu.
In the afternoon, visit the Buddha Dordenma (Buddha Point) and enjoy panoramic views of Thimphu Valley.

Day 8 Thimphu Sightseeing

Explore the weekend market (open from Friday to Sunday) and interact with local vendors.

Day 9 Thimphu - Paro

Drive to Paro, which takes about 1.5 hours.
Visit Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong) and Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan.
Explore Paro town and enjoy some leisure time.
Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 10 Paro - Tiger's Nest Hike

Embark on an early morning hike to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest.
Enjoy the stunning views from the monastery perched on a cliff.
In the afternoon, visit the Drukgyel Dzong (ruins of a historic fortress) and the 7th-century Kila Nunnery.
Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 11 Departure from Paro

After breakfast, check out from your hotel.
Transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your Bhutanese adventure.
