Day 1 Arrival in Moshi - Leisure Day

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you'll be greeted.
Transfer to Springlands Hotel for your overnight stay and dinner.

Day 2 Moshi to Machame Gate - Trek to Machame Camp

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel in Moshi.
Embark on a scenic 5-hour drive to the Machame Park Gate from Moshi (910m).
At the gate, you'll receive a packed lunch.
The forest trek starts, and there's a chance of encountering rain in this lush environment, making the trail muddy and slippery.
Your trekking adventure covers approximately 11 kilometres and takes around 6 hours.
As the day winds down, you'll arrive at Machame Camp (3,100m) where your dinner and a chilly night await.

Day 3 Trek from Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Start your day early with breakfast at Machame Camp.
The trek continues with an ascent, taking you from 3,100 meters to 3,840 meters.
You'll hike through varying landscapes, including lush moorlands and rocky terrain.
Expect around 4-5 hours of trekking at a moderate pace.
After a short picnic lunch break, you'll continue your journey.
Your destination is Shira Camp, located at 3,840 meters.
As the day winds down, settle into your campsite for the evening, and dinner will be served.

Day 4 Trek from Shira Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower

Your day kicks off with breakfast at Shira Camp.
The route leads you eastward, exposing you to a semi-desert landscape as you head to Lava Tower.
Expect to reach an altitude of 4,600 meters after approximately 5 hours of hiking.
Lunch will be served at a designated spot near Lava Tower.
Following lunch, prepare for a descent of about 680 meters to Barranco Camp.
This part of the trek provides an excellent opportunity for acclimatization.
The journey will take around 2 hours and offers stunning views.
As the sun sets, you'll arrive at Barranco Camp (3,940 meters) where you'll enjoy dinner before calling it a night.

Day 5 Trek from Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp

Start with breakfast at Barranco Camp.
Resume your ascent towards Karanga Camp, gaining altitude along the way.
The journey today covers roughly 13 kilometers, typically taking around 7 hours.
Karanga Camp, situated at 4,550 meters, serves as your lunch stop.
Following lunch, prepare for the final push to Barafu Camp, where you'll spend the night.
The challenging terrain makes this a demanding day.
As you arrive at Barafu Camp (4,550 meters), dinner will be served before you rest for the night.

Day 6 Summit Day - Trek to Uhuru Peak & Descent to Mweka Camp

Rise at around 23:30 to begin your summit attempt.
After a light meal and some tea and biscuits, start your climb toward Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters).
The journey involves ascending rocky scree and heavy snow, eventually reaching Stella Point (5,685 meters).
Pause briefly at Stella Point to witness a magnificent sunrise if weather conditions permit.
Continue your 2-hour trek to reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro.
Spend some time at the summit but avoid lingering too long due to the cold and fatigue.
Descend to Kibo Camp for rest and lunch.
Continue your descent, heading to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters) with caution.
The trek down takes about 3 hours.
Arrive at Mweka Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7 Descent to Mweka Village and Return to Moshi

After breakfast at Mweka Camp, begin your descent toward Mweka Village.
The journey typically takes around 4-5 hours and might involve muddy terrain.
From Mweka Village, you'll be driven to Springlands Hotel in Moshi.
At the hotel, enjoy a delicious hot lunch and a well-deserved, refreshing shower.
Tips for your guide are recommended and appreciated at this point.
This is also where successful climbers receive their summit certificates.
Climbers reaching Stella Point (5,685 meters) are issued green certificates, while those conquering Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters) receive gold certificates.
Spend the night at Springlands Hotel with bed and breakfast provided.

Day 8 Departure from Kilimanjaro Airport

After an early breakfast at Springlands Hotel in Moshi, you'll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
This marks the end of your Kilimanjaro adventure as you prepare for your departure flight back home.
