Day 1 Coimbatore Arrival – Ooty Local Sightseeing
Arrive in Coimbatore and proceed to Ooty, enjoying the scenic drive through lush hills and sprawling tea plantations. Once in Ooty, check in to your hotel and freshen up. Later, embark on a local sightseeing tour, visiting popular attractions such as Ooty Lake, the well-maintained Botanical Gardens, and Doddabetta Peak – the highest point in the Nilgiris. Spend the evening exploring the vibrant local markets or simply relax in the serene surroundings.
After breakfast, head out for a full-day excursion to Pykara, a picturesque village located about 20 km from Ooty. Visit the famous Pykara Lake and enjoy a peaceful boat ride amidst scenic beauty. Explore the beautiful Pykara Waterfalls and the nearby Pykara Dam, surrounded by thick forests and captivating views. You can also take a stroll through the scenic landscape before heading back.
After breakfast, embark on a day trip to Coonoor, a quaint hill station located just 19 km from Ooty. Visit top attractions such as Sim’s Park, Dolphin’s Nose, and Lamb’s Rock, each offering panoramic views of the Nilgiri Hills and valleys.
