  • Continue past a small Italian Catholic church built in 1942 during World War II when Italians were prisoners of war, as Kenya was still a British colony.
  • Arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch and a brief rest before the afternoon's activities.
  • Begin with a one-hour boat ride on the only freshwater lake in the Kenyan Rift Valley, home to hippos and over 400 bird species.
  • Observe pied kingfishers in action and the African fish eagle hunting for fish, mainly common carp.
  • Later, choose between a horse ride or a nature walk at Crescent Island or Sanctuary Farm.
