Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Nairobi, Visit Giraffe Centre
- Welcome to your tour! Your representative greets you at the 'meeting point at the exit after immigration and customs.
- On arrival, embark on a city tour covering the colourful City Market, Parliament Buildings and the Railway Station.
- Proceed on a visit to the Giraffe Centre, a unique setting where you can feed giraffes.
- Overnight in Nairobi (Breakfast at Hotel, Dinner at an Indian Restaurant.)
Day 2 Transfer to Aberdare National Park, Game Drive
- This morning, set off for your forest lodge located on the slopes of the Aberdare Mountains.
- Spend the rest of the day game viewing from the lodge's terrace overlooking a water hole floodlit by night.
- Elephant, Rhino, Leopard, Bushbuck and occasionally an elusive Bongo and giant forest Hog can be sighted.
- Your Tree Lodge is designed with observation decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb vantage points for game viewing.
- Overnight in Aberdares (Breakfast at the Hotel's Restaurant, Lunch at the Lodge's Restaurant & Dinner at the Lodge's Restaurant)
Day 3 Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park, Afternoon Game Drive
- Drive via Nyahururu to the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park, the home of millions of Fuschia pink flamingos, pelicans, cormorants and other birds.
- The eastern and western shores are framed by ridges that offer splendid lookouts over the lake: Lion Hill, Baboon Cliff and Out of Africa.
- On arrival, check into your Safari Lodge.
- In the afternoon, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Nakuru National Park, an ornithologist's paradise offering a spectacular view of millions of flamingos. It is also home to rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo and numerous species of plain game.
- Look out for temperamental Black Rhinos browsing in the bushes and larger white Rhinos cropping grass along the lakeside.
- Nowhere else will you get a photo of Rhinos with a backdrop of pink Flamingos sifting food from the shimmering Lake.
- Overnight in Lake Nakuru (Breakfast at the Lodge's Restaurant, Lunch at the Lodge's Restaurant & Dinner at the Lodge's Restaurant)
Day 4 Transfer to Masai Mara Game Reserve, Game Drive
- This morning drive via the township of Narok - the heart of Masai land to the Masai Mara National Game Reserve, a wildlife goldmine.
- Upon arrival, check into your Safari Lodge. Masai Mara Game Reserve is famous worldwide for its staggering variety of wildlife and seasonal wildebeest migrations.
- After lunch at your lodge, embark on a thrilling afternoon game drive.
- The plains are full of wildebeest, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe and Thomson's gazelle. Also regularly seen are Leopards, Elephants, Lions, Hyenas, Cheetah, Hippos, Jackal, large Nile Crocodiles and bat-eared foxes. Overnight in Masai Mara. (Breakfast at the Lodge's Restaurant, Lunch at the Lodge's Restaurant & Dinner at the Lodge's Restaurant)
Day 5 Masai Mara Game Reserve, Spot Big Five
- You can start your day by rising before dawn for a spectacular Hot Air Balloon Ride, followed by a bubbly bush breakfast as an optional tour.
- Spend your day game viewing in the reserve where you can spot Africa's 'Big Five' - Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and the Cape Buffalo. See some stunning savannah landscapes as you go on this game drive in a vehicle with a pop-up roof.
- Overnight in Masai Mara. (Breakfast at the Lodge's Restaurant, Lunch at the Lodge's Restaurant & Dinner at the Lodge's Restaurant)
Day 6 Depart from Nairobi, Tour Ends
- Good times need never end! As you get ready for the airport and your flight back home, relive the high points of your tour.

We started our trip from New Delhi to Nairobi via Mumbai by Indigo flight. Dennis was there to welcome us at the airport early in the morning. We started off to Samburu, had lunch on the way had a relaxing evening at the resort. We had a wonderful game drive next day at the samburu national reserve, saw a leopard, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, etc from close quarters. We went to ol Pajeto conservancy, fed blind rhino, saw chimpanzees and other animals including two horned rhinos, proceeded to Nakuru saw pelicans, flamingos etc there, Masai Mara we stayed for three nights and had two game drives.
Could see lots of lions, cheetah with its prey as well as a pregnant cheetah, zebras, giraffes etc. we also saw ostriches and other animals and birds there. We then went to Naivasha had a boat ride with walk and see crocodiles and hippos and crescent island visit walked with zebras, impalas and wildebeest but couldn’t see giraffe there. Due to floods last year many parts of crescent island got submerged so could only see part of the island. Our last destination was Amboseli park with game drive there. Overall it was a highly satisfying and interesting experience. İmara Destinations did a very good job of taking us to the exact spots where animals would be seen uninterrupted. Reasons
1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp.
2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality.
3. James is very knowledgeable.
4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious.
5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details.
6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it.
7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.

We got to see the Big5 within 3 days of our itenary and more on the next days. Janet was very thorough with our itenary and helped us throughout and Bonnie knew all the best spots on all of our game drives. We didn't feel rushed throughout our tour, because it is designed very well to accomodate enough rest. 10/10 recommend
