Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi

Arrive at JKIA International Airport, Nairobi.
Meet our representative for a briefing on your safari itinerary.
Transfer to your city center hotel for check-in.
Optional: Explore Nairobi with city tours and excursions (based on your arrival time).
Overnight: Sarova Stanley

Day 2 Nairobi - Masai Mara

Early morning pick-up from your hotel.
Depart for Masai Mara, with a stop at the Great Rift Valley escarpments for photos.
Arrive at your lodge for check-in and lunch.
Afternoon game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve, where you can spot zebras, antelopes, giraffes, elephants, and lions.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Overnight: Mara Serena Safari Lodge

Day 3 Masai Mara - Full Day game Drive

After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch.
Explore the reserve in search of the Big Five and other wildlife.
Visit the Mara River to witness the wildebeest crossings and crocodiles.
Enjoy lunch near the river or under an acacia tree.
Continue the game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4 Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, check out and depart for Lake Nakuru.
En route, visit a Maasai Village for a cultural tour to learn about the Maasai way of life.
Stop for lunch, a boat ride, and a walking tour at Crescent Island in Naivasha.
Continue to Lake Nakuru, check in, and enjoy dinner.
Overnight: Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge

Day 5 Lake Nakuru - Nairobi

After breakfast, check out with a packed lunch.
Morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, spotting rhinos, buffalos, baboons, lions, giraffes, zebras, and the famous flamingos.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before exiting the park.
Return to Nairobi, where the safari concludes with a drop-off in the city center.

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.

The entire trip was handled with extreme professionalism by both Janet and our g (Read More)uide Bonnie. We got to see the Big5 within 3 days of our itenary and more on the next days. Janet was very thorough with our itenary and helped us throughout and Bonnie knew all the best spots on all of our game drives. We didn't feel rushed throughout our tour, because it is designed very well to accomodate enough rest. 10/10 recommend

From the very beginning, Christine and Judith from Donwel Tours were highly atte (Read More)ntive to what we were looking to get from our first ever trip to Kenya, and Africa, for that matter. We wanted to cover a lot of ground, and were going from one agency to another before we found Donwel as most agents couldn't quite squeeze everything we wanted into our itinerary. Judith and Christine however made it all possible. Good quality stays everywhere, regular communication through the trip to ensure we were ok and were getting what we wanted. Special shoutout to Teeman, our driver who absolutely fantastic, drove safely and ensured our safety and comfort throughout the trip, regularly coordinating with Christine.
