Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi - Transfer to Lake Nakuru - Game Drive
  • Arrive at JKIA and meet the local tour guide.
  • Drive down the Great Rift Valley escarpment floor to Lake Nakuru National Park, a protected game sanctuary for endangered species such as the Black/White rhino, lions etc.
  • Come across colourful flamingoes found mainly around the lake.
  • Lunch is served at Lion Hill Sarova Lodge.
  • After lunch, go for an afternoon game drive and enjoy until sunset.
  • Dinner and overnight at Lion Hill Sarova Lodge or similar (full board)
  • After breakfast, drive west across the floor of The Great Rift Valley to the richest stocked game reserve set in some 1672 sq km– the world-renowned Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
  • Spot unlimited spectacle of wildlife among vast rolling plains.

We wanted to cover a lot of ground, and were going from one agency to another before we found Donwel as most agents couldn't quite squeeze everything we wanted into our itinerary. Judith and Christine however made it all possible. Good quality stays everywhere, regular communication through the trip to ensure we were ok and were getting what we wanted.
