Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi - Optional Sightseeing

Arrive in Nairobi and meet with the meet-and greet representative who will look after your transfer to Ole-Sereni Hotel or similar
Room booked with breakfast.
Optional activities. (if you have time Nairobi Day Tours are short trips offering you the opportunity to see the City within a short time and discover Nairobi's beauty and history. )

Day 2 Transfer to Masai Mara - Afternoon Game Drive

Depart from Nairobi around 07:30 am for your journey to Masai Mara.
Witness the scenic Loita plains and observe red-clad Maasai warriors herding their cattle along the way.
Arrive at Mara in time for lunch and embark on a game drive en route to Mara Sopa Lodge.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive upon reaching the lodge.
Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge, situated at the border of Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Day 3 Full Day Wildlife Safari at Masai Mara & Overnight Stay

Begin your day with morning and afternoon game viewing sessions inside Masai Mara National Reserve.
Keep an eye out for iconic wildlife species such as black-maned lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, leopards, and gazelles.
Extend your drive to the hippo point, where you can witness schools of hippos submerging and crocodiles basking along the riverbanks.

Day 4 Masai Mara - Another Full Day of Game Drive & Overnight Stay

Day 6 Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha - Boat Safari & Bird Watching

Depart Lake Nakuru for Lake Naivasha in the morning.
Experience a boat safari and bird watching excursion on the papyrus-fringed Lake Naivasha.
After lunch, visit Crescent Island, a private sanctuary home to a variety of wildlife species.

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.

Our guide Ben was fantastic and knowledgable so we feel we made a friend in Kenya too. James was superb in helping us plan the trip and with suggestions for stay. All in all it was such a special vacation and I can’t wait to explore more of Africa. People are great ! So warm and friendly and what a truly blessed country with so much nature and wildlife. I would highly recommend Wild Portraits and James and Ben for your travel to Kenya.

please be careful while entering the country at immigration - make sure your pas (Read More)sport is stamped. We had some issue with this. Can’t complain about anything else. It was beyond our expectations.

The responsiveness of Christine (person overall responsible for arrangements)and (Read More) knowledge from Evance (our driver and guide for national parks)about national parks was excellent. We stayed and covered Nairobi, Masai, Naivasha and Daini.. All stays and safaris were perfect could not have asked for better.

We chose Van but we think land cruiser would have been a better option especiall (Read More)y for being comfortable in muddy terrains.

After screening and talking to about 5 travel operators, I decided to go with Na (Read More)ture Romp for an 8 day safari in Kenya. Their rate was competitive and selection of lodges to stay very good. Initially I was skeptical due to less reviews about Nature Romp in public domain. However when I talked to Yvonne, I understood that theirs is a fairly new company and decided to go with them. We (my daughter and I) opted for a private tour covering Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli. We were received at the airport and the next day Yvonne, Lucy and Maxwell (guide cum driver) welcomed us at the hotel, early morning of the Safari start. We instantly felt at home and from then onwards it was a memorable trip. Our guide Maxwell is an excellent guide. He knew about birds and animals, their behavior and diligent in driving. He was always on time.

Nothing in particular. Only one stay (at Naivasha) could have been closer to the (Read More) national park. It was nevertheless a good place but not great for bird photography
