Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Jammu and Transfer to Katra
  • Arrive in Jammu.
  • Meet and get assistance on arrival at the railway station or airport and proceed straight to Katra by car.
  • Arrive in Katra and check in at the hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Katra.
  • After breakfast, proceed for visit to “Mata Vaishnodevi” darshan.
  • Depart to Bhawan by foot or ponies (to be arranged directly) or by chopper.
  • After darshan, leave by chopper/ponies for Katra.
  • Check-in at the hotel for rest.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
  • Depart from Katra to Pahalgam, also called “Valley of Shepherds.
  • En-route visit the Awantipura Ruins of 9th Century and Mattan Temple Complex.
  • On arrival in Pahalgam check in at the hotel.
  • In Pahalgam, enjoy nature and walk around the banks of River Lidder. Pahalgam is famous for some trekking routes also & is the base camp for Amarnath pilgrimage.

  • Day free to explore the surroundings and sightseeing on your own.

  • Enjoy the scenic view of Kongdori on a cable car ride (Gondola) - (Optional)

  • Drive along the Lakeside on Boulevard.

  • Visit Shankaracharya Temple.
  • In the evening, enjoy a 01-hour boat ride on Dal Lake by a gondola Boat called ”Shikara”.
  • Visit the local crafts market and see the fine carved hand-made articles from paper mache and wood of a walnut.
  • Overnight at the Deluxe houseboat.
  • After breakfast leave for a full-day excursion at Sonamarg, also called 'The Meadow of Gold'. Sonamarg is situated at an altitude of 9000 Ft.
  • Visit the Sindh River that meanders through the valley that abounds with trout and mahseer.
  • Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier, which is a major local attraction during the summer.
  • Return to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
  • Depart to Srinagar airport/Jammu to connect with the flight/train for onward destination.

Our customized tour package exceeded our expectations, blending comf (Read More)ort and memorable experiences. Hotel selections were impressive: Hotel Sea View at Kanyakumari offered breathtaking sunrise views and delicious food. Hotel Germanus in Madurai, Hotel Soma Palmshore in Kovalam, and Hotel Taika in Rameshwaram provided pleasant stays with good food and courteous staff. The houseboat experience was outstanding, with mouth-watering local cuisine, including an unforgettable fish fry. However, hot water for bathing was not available. Some valuable tips for future travelers: verify temple timings and dress code regulations in advance to optimize your itinerary. Ladies can find lovely, affordable sarees and dress materials. Engaging local drivers or guides can also enhance your experience. Mr. George and Welgreen Kerala Holidays deserve 100% marks for crafting an unforgettable trip with thoughtful hotel choices and a well-planned itinerary. What's Not Good: The houseboat experience was outstanding, with mouth-watering local cuisine, including an unforgettable fish fry. However, hot water for bathing was not available and no more activities at the shore. Rather we would have preferred to stay in a hotel and take long ride of houseboat in the afternoon to late evening would have better.

Had a great vacation and thanks to Rishi and team for arranging it. the itinerary covered all the good places and hotels was good as well. Special mention to our driver dada (Venkatesh) who really too (Read More)k care of our trip. Rishi was very helpful from the beginning and till the end of the trip. Hope to have more collaboration in 2025. Only one disappointment was Hotel Lake View which wasn't up to mark. It lacked basic amenities and is quite money oriented.
