Day 1 Airport/Pinnawala/Kandy
  • Meet & assist by our representative. Proceed to Kandy.
  • En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
  • Pinnawala elephant orphanage was started in 1975 to house abandoned and wounded elephants. The number of elephants has increased to more than 65 now, including baby elephants brought from various parts, as well as the 14 babies born, as a result of the captive breeding program. The best time to visit is the feeding time and the bathing time; when all the elephants are taken to the river close by.
  • Thereafter, proceed to Kandy.
  • Evening do a city tour of Kandy.
  • The hill capital. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815, and is a World Heritage Site. Kandy is an example of the Buddhism?s influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple?s shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798.
  • Visit the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts centre and a gem museum and a lapidary.
  • Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing.
  • On completion return back to the hotel for Overnight stay.

  • After breakfast proceed to Nuwaraeliya.
  • En route visit a Tea Factory & Tea Plantation and Ramboda falls.
  • Proceed to Nuwara Eliya with a visit to a Tea factory and tea plantation.

Some of these factories are situated in breathtakingly beautiful landscape, surrounded by indeed serene green gardens of tea. A casual tourist to this island cannot call the visit complete without a visit to some of them. Visitors to any of these Centers are normally treated with typical Sri Lankan courtesy and given an educative, guided tour on the various stages of tea manufacturing process.
  • Nuwara Eliya The ?Little England? of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions.

What's Good: We are glad we chose Aziz Travels. This being our 1st international trip with kids we had our doubts and fear. But Shali made sure he clarified all our doubts even before we left f (Read More)rom India. In fact we paid our money to Aziz Travels only after landing in Sri Lanka. We were greeted warmly by his manager Mohamed at the airport followed by his driver Prem anna. He was the best. 5 days with his driving made us feel safe..being in a new country and high altitude roads with on n off rains..his car was jus gliding thru..and we felt safe. He made sure we covered all places in the itemary..in fact showed some places out of itenary too. Overall very happy with Aziz travels. Shali, I think you should start penetrating into other countries too.

What's Good: Aziz Travel should visit/verify accommodation that they recommend, some of them are not good , the rooms are bad . The facilities are not satisfactory
What's Not Good: H (Read More)otel in kandy,yala were not good . The trip could be more unidirectional and going criss cross could be avoided , it will bring down cost too

What's Good: Humble and very cooperative agents. Very quick response when erev needed. All arrangements are well in advance. Itinerary also planned so as all places are included and no rush in (Read More)visiting places. Good stay and nice vehicle for commute and Guide(Mr. Prem) is also very friendly,helpful and supportive. Over all had a wonderful time planning and enjying this vacation with Aziz Travels.
