  • Visit the hilltop Amber Fort, ascending by jeep. Explore its ornate halls like Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace) and Diwan-e-Khas.
  • On the way back, photo stop at Jal Mahal, the Water Palace.
  • Back in the city, explore the City Palace, which still houses royalty.
  • Visit Jantar Mantar, the 18th-century astronomical observatory.
  • Take a peek at the intricate façade of Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds).
  • Shop in bustling bazaars for block prints, jewelry, and handicrafts.
  • Overnight stay in Jaipur.
  • Drive to Agra (~5 hrs), stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, the red sandstone ghost town built by Emperor Akbar.
  • See Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, and the palace complex.
  • Continue to Agra and check into your hotel.
  • In the evening, visit Mehtab Bagh for a serene view of the Taj Mahal at sunset, across the Yamuna River.
