Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival – Dambulla/Sigiriya

Your Sri Lankan journey begins with a warm welcome upon arrival. Drive to Sigiriya, a culturally rich city steeped in history. En route, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you'll witness rescued elephants being fed and bathed in a peaceful riverside setting.
In the afternoon, explore the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress—a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the "Eighth Wonder of the World." The climb offers panoramic views and a deep dive into Sri Lanka’s royal past.

Day 2 Dambulla – Kandy

Begin the day with a visit to the Dambulla Cave Temple, a magnificent rock-cut complex adorned with Buddhist murals and statues—one of Sri Lanka’s most spiritual and artistic sites.
Continue to Kandy, stopping en route at the Matale Spice Garden for an insightful tour on the island’s rich spice heritage. You’ll also visit a local gem gallery, where you'll learn about Sri Lanka’s famous gemstones. In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism’s most sacred pilgrimage sites. Day 3 Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, explore the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, a lush haven of rare orchids, palms, and exotic flora.
Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, a picturesque hill station often dubbed "Little England." On the way, visit the Ramboda Hanuman Temple, an important Ramayana Trail site, and take in the beauty of Ramboda Falls. In Nuwara Eliya, visit the Seetha Amman Temple, believed to be connected to the Ramayana, and enjoy serene moments at Gregory Lake, where you can opt for a boat ride.

Day 4 Nuwara Eliya – Bentota

Embark on a scenic drive to Bentota, a peaceful beachside town. En route, make brief stops at St. Clair’s Falls and Devon Falls, two stunning waterfalls ideal for photography. Once in Bentota, relax by the beach or enjoy the town’s laid-back charm and soothing coastal atmosphere.

Day 5 Bentota Sightseeing

Discover Bentota's natural beauty and adventure activities. Begin with a Maadu River Safari through mangrove forests, spotting exotic birds and reptiles. Visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, a conservation project protecting endangered sea turtles. For those seeking thrill, indulge in water sports like jet skiing, banana rides, and tube rides, all set against the sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean.

Day 6 Bentota – Colombo

Travel to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s commercial capital. Take a guided city tour, exploring a blend of colonial charm and modern vibrancy.

What's Good: The Guide cum driver Premarathna was very warm and friendly. Well maintained car. We didnt have to hurry through anywhere and remained relaxed throughout. Since we had insisted up (Read More)on vegetarian food, the hotels did manage their best to provide us something palatable to us throughout. The morning breakfast tea at Bentota was the best ever we had in Sri Lanka
What's Not Good: The Accommodation at Kandy was a huge letdown. A 20 year old building which was under renovation and the room had lizards moving around ! The courteouness of the staff was the saving grace there. The Bentota resort though good had a lizard too in the room when we entered. fortunately the housekeeping staff removed it.

What's Good: We are glad we chose Aziz Travels. This being our 1st international trip with kids we had our doubts and fear. But Shali made sure he clarified all our doubts even before we left f (Read More)rom India. In fact we paid our money to Aziz Travels only after landing in Sri Lanka. We were greeted warmly by his manager Mohamed at the airport followed by his driver Prem anna. He was the best. 5 days with his driving made us feel safe..being in a new country and high altitude roads with on n off rains..his car was jus gliding thru..and we felt safe. He made sure we covered all places in the itemary..in fact showed some places out of itenary too. Overall very happy with Aziz travels. Shali, I think you should start penetrating into other countries too.

What's Good: Aziz Travel should visit/verify accommodation that they recommend, some of them are not good , the rooms are bad . The facilities are not satisfactory
What's Not Good: H (Read More)otel in kandy,yala were not good . The trip could be more unidirectional and going criss cross could be avoided , it will bring down cost too

What's Good: Humble and very cooperative agents. Very quick response when erev needed. All arrangements are well in advance. Itinerary also planned so as all places are included and no rush in (Read More)visiting places. Good stay and nice vehicle for commute and Guide(Mr. Prem) is also very friendly,helpful and supportive. Over all had a wonderful time planning and enjying this vacation with Aziz Travels.
