Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Station– Gangtok Hotel
- Meet and greet upon arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra International Airport.
- Transfer to Gangtok (5,500 ft).
- Check-in at the hotel upon arrival.
- Rest of the day at leisure.
- Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 2 Gangtok - Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
- After breakfast, start an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft. / 37 Kms. / 2 hours from Gangtok) and further drive to Baba Mandir (13,200 ft. / 16 Kms. / 1 hour from Tsomgo Lake).
- Evening return to Gangtok. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
- Note: Documents required for Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir include 2 passport-sized photos along with a photocopy of a photo ID proof (Passport, Driving License, or Voter ID; PAN Card and Aadhar Card are not accepted). For children below 18 years, a Birth Certificate, School ID, or College ID is mandatory. Originals must be carried while traveling.
- In case of a landslide or any other reason that causes Tsomgo Lake to be closed, we will provide alternate sightseeing options.
Day 3 Gangtok to Lachung - Transfer
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel with limited luggage and proceed to Lachung (8,738 ft.) in North Sikkim.
- On the way, take breaks at beautiful spots worth seeing, including:
- Naga Waterfall
- The Confluence of Lachen Chu (River) and Lachung Chu (River) at Chungthang
- Bhim Nala Waterfall
- Upon arrival at Lachung, check into your hotel.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Lachung.
- Note: Documents required for Lachung ? 2 passport-sized photos along with a photocopy of a photo ID proof (Passport, Driving License, or Voter ID; PAN Card and Aadhaar Card are not accepted). For children below 18 years, a Birth Certificate, School ID, or College ID is required. Originals must be carried while traveling.
Day 4 Lachung - Excursion to Yumthang Valley
- After breakfast, proceed to Yumthang Valley, known as the Valley of Flowers (12,000 ft).
- Yumthang serves as the summer grazing ground for yaks and the winter playground for yetis.
- On the way back, visit the Hot Spring, which is considered to have medicinal properties.
- Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
- After lunch, enjoy free time for individual activities.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Lachung.
Day 5 Lachung to Gangtok - Transfer
After breakfast, transfer to Gangtok (5,500 Ft.). On arrival, check-in to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 6 Gangtok to Pelling - Transfer
- After breakfast, transfer to Pelling.
- Upon arrival, check in to the hotel.
- Rest of the day at leisure.
- Overnight stay in Pelling.
Day 7 Pelling to Darjeeling – Half Day Sightseeing and Darjeeling Transfer
- After breakfast, you will visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, and the New Helipad Ground.
- Transfer to Darjeeling for an overnight stay.
- Notes: SKY WALK can be visited for an additional fee of INR 100 per person for the entry ticket, plus vehicle charges of INR 1000 per vehicle.
Day 8 Darjeeling – Full Day Sightseeing and with Tiger Hill
- Early morning (4:00 AM) visit to Tiger Hill (subject to availability of permit/token).
- Return to hotel for breakfast.
- Starting at 8:30 AM, visit the following attractions:
- Himalayan Mountaineering Institute
- P.N. Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays)
- Tenzing Rock
- Ropeway
- Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre (closed on Sundays)
- Tea Garden (outer view)
- Japanese Temple
- Evening free for shopping or leisure.
- Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 9 Darjeeling – Bagdogra Airport / Njp Railway Station Drop
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
- Drop off at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport.
- Return to your destination with sweet memories.
Package Policies
- Accommodation on a double sharing basis at the specified hotel.
- Breakfast and dinner included.
- All transfers as per the itinerary by non-AC private vehicle; AC will be provided in plain areas at an additional cost.

- Vehicle will be on a point-to-point basis, not for disposal.
- Meals other than those specified above.

- Personal expenses such as porter charges, tips, laundry, mineral water, etc.
- Monument entrances, camera charges, parking charges, etc.
- Nathula Permit not included (Tour cost approximately INR 6000 per vehicle) - If you wish to visit Nathula, please inform us or the driver.
- Pelling Skywalk (approximately INR 1000 per vehicle) + Entry Fee INR 100 per person.
- Zero Point is not included in the North Sikkim package; it will be done on a spot payment basis by the driver.
- Additional costs due to flight cancellations, roadblocks, political unrest, etc.

Excellent Travel Experience with Krishna Travels DMC
We visited North Sikkim (Read More)and Darjeeling for 6 nights and 7 days from Hyderabad, and the entire trip was well planned by Anuradha from Krishna Travels DMC.
Everything was smooth and hassle free. The itinerary, hotel arrangements, drivers, food, and overall coordination were handled perfectly. The planning was well balanced, making our journey comfortable and enjoyable.
Hotels we stayed at were Aurora Gangtok in Gangtok, which was a good stay overall with only minor internet connectivity issues. In Lachung, we stayed at Rufina Lachung Kunga, which was good and comfortable. In Darjeeling, we stayed at Aurora Grand Darjeeling, which was a pleasant stay.

One aspect that i think can be done better is planning for permits. Documents re (Read More)quired for permits were asked for at the last moment when I was already in my journey and I had to struggle to find the relevant documents while in the cab. This can be planned better
