Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Paro, Drive to Thimphu

Fly into Paro, Bhutan, and complete customs and immigration procedures.
Meet our guide and driver, then drive to Thimphu.
Visit the Painting school, Traditional hospital, National Library, and other attractions based on your available time.
Enjoy an evening stroll in Thimphu.
Overnight stay in a hotel of your choice.

Day 2 Exploring Thimphu

Start your day with a visit to Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Lhakhang, Tashichho Dzong, the weekend market, Buddha point, Sangaygang viewpoint, and the Takin preserve.
Explore other attractions based on your interests and time.
Overnight stay in a hotel of your choice.

Day 3 Drive to Paro

Drive to Paro in the morning and visit Rinpung Dzong and Dungtse Lhakhang.
After lunch, visit Kichu Lhakhang and drive north to see the ruined Drukgyel Dzong and local homes.
Overnight stay in a hotel of your choice.

Day 4 Paro (Bumdra Trek)

Transfer to the trailhead and embark on a hike to Taktshang monastery and beyond to Bumdra.
Enjoy an overnight stay in a camp.

Day 5 Paro (Bumdra Trek Ends)

After breakfast amidst stunning landscapes, decide whether to head back into the valley or linger to soak up the view.
Return to visit the National Museum.
Overnight stay in a hotel of your choice.

Day 6 Departure

After breakfast, check-out from hotel.
ransfer to the airport for your onward journey, concluding the trip.

What's Not Good: During return from Bhutan to bagdogra.. the driver driving wasn't smooth.. Otherwise all good.

What's Good: From the very start i.e trip planning, to the very end i.e us reaching our home, Mr Bharat and AVTT representatives have, in my opinion - truly delivered. The itinerary was flawl (Read More)essly planned and executed, perfectly accommodating even the smallest of our needs along the way. We had the pleasure of meeting some truly wonderful people during our trip: Roma, our guide, was exceptionally generous with her time and always eager to answer our questions. I had always thought that tour guides were often hard to connect with, but I was completely wrong. Her thoughtful insights, engaging stories, and lighthearted conversations, often laced with humor, truly enhanced our experience. Mr. Bikas, our driver, was a great guy with some fantastic stories! We had a blast listening to him, and his punctuality was spot on—no matter how hard we tried, we couldn’t beat him at being on time! ? And finally, Mr. Bharat and his family—it’s clear that he is incredibly professional and deeply passionate about delivering outstanding experiences through AVTT. From the moment I began planning this trip, I had a strong impression of his dedication, and meeting him in Thimphu only confirmed it. As for Bhutan itself... it’s absolutely worth visiting. I won’t go into the details here, but I’ll just say, "Make sure to visit at least once in your lifetime." All in all, it was an unforgettable trip, and I highly recommend AVTT to anyone planning to visit Bhutan
