Day 1 Arrival in Colombo & Tranfer to Kandy (enroute Pinnawala)

It has been once a filming place for David Lean's 1957 Oscar-winning epic "Bridge on the River Kwai" on the banks of Kelani River. Most visitors that do the adventure sporting are from Colombo. The Kitulgala's main attraction is White water rafting, where you can ride the tides of the Kelani River. Other than that, it's popular for sports like confidence jump, Stream Sliding, Waterfall abseiling, and Jungle trekking. Bird watching and cave exploration and last but not least, river trips and expeditions

  • Afterwards, proceed through the main street, passing the old Dutch Museum, belfry and old City Hall, which houses puppets of earlier governors of Sri Lanka.
  • A stop will be made at the Old Dutch hospital, with shops and restaurants facing Sri Lanka’s twin tower buildings. Continue to the old race course with a maze of buildings with colonial architecture.
  • Shopping in Colombo.

Vikky worked as a true gem for complete travel duration took us to all the main points of interest we wanted to visit during our stay, He is very trustworthy and professional in his work. He look after to our travel requirement and make sure we complete them as well. Another plus for his side is the punctuality, he was always their waiting for us in the morning at designated time to make sure we do not miss our day plan in a rush but with ease and enjoyment. He took us to the Tea Factory, and the experience was truly amazing visiting the tea factory and tea gardens really was one of the agenda in our tour and this was possible with Vikky’s guidance.
