Distance: 250 km | Travel Time: 6.5–7 hrs. Route: Guwahati – Nagaon – Tezpur – Bhalukpong. Permit Check: ILP (Inner Line Permit) is mandatory. Can be obtained online or in Guwahati/Tezpur. Enroute Sightseeing: Tezpur (optional quick halt): Agnigarh Hill – Mythical fort & scenic Brahmaputra view; Mahabhairab Temple – Ancient Shiva temple. Bhalukpong: Gateway to Arunachal, set on the banks of Kameng River. Option to enjoy rafting (seasonal) or relax in riverside camps. Night Stay: Bhalukpong.
Distance: 140 km | Travel Time: 5–6 hrs. Route: Bhalukpong – Tenga – Bomdila – Dirang. Enroute Sightseeing: Tipi Orchid Centre (just after Bhalukpong): Glasshouse with 500+ orchid varieties; Bomdila View Point: Panoramic views of Kameng Valley; Upper Gompa (Bomdila Monastery): Peaceful monastery with artistic interiors. Dirang: Picturesque valley on the banks of the Dirang Chu river, famous for its apple orchards and hot springs. Must Visit: Dirang Dzong: 500-year-old fort village; Hot Water Spring: Natural sulphur spring with medicinal properties. Night Stay: Dirang.

Enroute Sightseeing: Sela Pass (13,700 ft): Snow-covered high-altitude pass; Sela Lake beside it; Jaswant Garh War Memorial: Honoring Rifleman Jaswant Singh of 1962 Indo-China War; Nuranang (Jung) Falls: 100m tall, majestic waterfall before entering Tawang. Night Stay: Tawang.
Permit Required: Separate pass issued in Tawang (carry ID & ILP). Local Vehicle Cost: ₹5000–6000 approx (4x4 required). Sightseeing: Bumla Pass (15,200 ft): Indo-China border point, highly scenic and snow-covered; Sangestar Tso (Madhuri Lake): Formed by an earthquake; famous for Bollywood shooting; P.T. Tso Lake: Hidden gem with tranquil surroundings. Carry warm clothing (sub-zero temperatures). Start early (around 7 AM); round trip takes 6–7 hrs. Night Stay: Tawang.

Morning Tawang Sightseeing: Tawang Monastery: Second-largest in the world; houses a 28-ft Buddha statue; Tawang War Memorial: Built in memory of soldiers of the 1962 war; Craft Center and Emporium: Traditional crafts & woolen clothes. Enroute Back: Scenic drive back through Sela Pass; short stops at places skipped on Day 3. Night Stay: Bomdila.
Distance: 340 km | Travel Time: 9–10 hrs. Route: Bomdila – Bhalukpong – Tezpur – Guwahati. Start early (~6 AM) to reach Guwahati by evening. Optional late lunch halt at Tezpur.
