We take an early morning scenic flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest treks. Upon landing, we meet our trekking team and porters before starting the trek. The trail gradually descends to Cheplung village, offering the first glimpse of Mt. Khumbila, a sacred mountain that remains unclimbed. From here, we continue descending until we reach Phakding, where we stay overnight.
After breakfast, we continue along the Dudh Koshi River, passing through a pine forest and crossing several suspension bridges. The trail takes us through Benkar Valley, Chumoa, and Monjo, where we enter Sagarmatha National Park. A challenging yet rewarding ascent brings us to Namche Bazaar, the bustling trade hub of the Everest region. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.
To adjust to the high altitude, we spend an extra day in Namche Bazaar. We explore the town’s vibrant markets, ATMs, internet cafés, and restaurants. A visit to Sagarmatha National Park offers breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kongde. We also tour the Hillary School and a nearby monastery, which houses a yeti scalp. If time permits, we can hike to Khumjung village for an even closer look at Sherpa culture. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.
After an early breakfast, we begin our descent toward the Dudh Koshi River, followed by a steep ascent through stunning rhododendron forests leading to Tengboche. Along the way, we are treated to clear views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. Once in Tengboche, we visit the Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Everest region. Overnight stay in Tengboche.
We descend through forests of birch, conifers, and rhododendrons, with Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam in sight. Crossing the Imja River, we arrive at Pangboche, where we explore the Pangboche Monastery. The trail continues through Imja Valley and along the Lobuche River, leading us to Dingboche. Overnight stay in Dingboche.
Today is an acclimatization day to adjust to the high altitude. We hike up to Nangkartshang Peak, which offers a breathtaking view of Ama Dablam. If the weather is clear, we can see Ama Dablam from base to summit. Alternatively, we can explore the surrounding villages. Overnight stay in Dingboche.
We continue our trek along the lateral moraine of Khumbu Glacier, passing stone memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest expeditions. The trail gradually ascends toward Lobuche, situated at the foot of Lobuche Peak. Overnight stay in Lobuche.
Today is one of the most exciting days of our journey. We trek along the Khumbu Glacier, reaching Everest Base Camp (EBC), the closest we can get to Mount Everest without an actual expedition. During the spring season, colorful expedition tents create a striking contrast against the glacier’s gray landscape. We soak in the breathtaking views of the Khumbu Icefall before trekking back to Gorak Shep, where we stay overnight.
Today is one of the most rewarding yet challenging days of the trek. We wake up early for the steep ascent to Kala Patthar (5,555m), one of the best panoramic viewpoints in the Everest region. From here, we enjoy unparalleled views of Mount Everest, along with Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, Chagatse, and many other peaks. After taking in the stunning scenery, we descend to Gorak Shep for breakfast and then continue our descent to Pheriche, where we stay overnight.
We begin our descent, retracing our steps through Pangboche and Tengboche before reaching Namche Bazaar. Though we take the same trail, the views feel completely different, and we cherish our final sights of the Himalayas. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.
Today marks our final trekking day as we return to Lukla, where our journey began. We take our time enjoying the last glimpses of the mountains and celebrating our achievements with fellow trekkers. In the evening, we can relax and enjoy a few celebratory drinks. Overnight stay in Lukla.
Our adventure comes to an end. Our representative will escort you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. As you leave, you carry unforgettable memories of the Everest Base Camp Trek, knowing you have followed in the footsteps of mountaineering legends.
