Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Kochi to Munnar (4-5 hrs)

Pickup from Kochi Airport/Railway Station and transfer to Munnar.
En route, visit Cheeyappara & Valara Waterfalls.
Check-in at the hotel and relax.
Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 2 Munnar Sightseeing

Visit Eravikulam National Park (closed in Feb-Mar for calving).
Explore Tea Museum, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Lake.
Optional Jeep Safari to Kolukkumalai (chargeable).
Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 3 Munnar to Thekkady (3-4 hrs)

Drive to Thekkady.
Visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (boat safari optional).
Enjoy Spice Plantation Tour and Kathakali/Kalaripayattu show (optional).
Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 4 Thekkady to Alleppey Houseboat (4-5 hrs)

Transfer to Alleppey for a houseboat cruise.
Check-in by 12 PM and enjoy a backwater cruise with onboard meals.
Experience an unforgettable overnight stay in a houseboat at the Alleppey backwaters.
The journey begins at 12:00 Noon, offering scenic views of canals and backwaters.
The cruise passes through Punnamada Kayal, Vembanadu Lake, Marthandom, C Block, Kuppapuram, and Pallathuruthy River.
The boat halts at 5:30 PM near a village for an overnight stay.
Guests can enjoy country boat rides, village walks, paddy field visits, fishing, Ayurvedic massages, and visits to toddy shops.
The morning cruise starts at 8:00 AM and passes through SNDP Canal, Kuppappuram, and Vilakkumaram Thodu before reaching Alleppey.
Check-out from the houseboat is at 9:00 AM in Alleppey.
The houseboat cruise operates from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM before anchoring at the riverbank for the night.
The cruise resumes the next morning at 8:00 AM and concludes by 9:00 AM.
The cruise includes a one-hour lunch break during the journey.
Lunch consists of a traditional Kerala meal with rice, vegetables, and fish fry.
Dinner includes rice, vegetable dishes, chapati, and chicken curry.
Breakfast options include Idli/Dosa with chutney or Appam with vegetable stew/Grams, or a continental meal with bread toast, butter, jam, omelet, tea, or coffee.
Guests can choose between vegetarian or non-vegetarian meal options.
The houseboat crew consists of a captain, an engine driver, and a chef.

Day 5 Alleppey to Kovalam via Varkala (5-6 hrs)

Checkout and drive to Varkala.
Visit Varkala Cliff & Papanasam Beach.
Continue to Kovalam and check in at the hotel.
Enjoy Lighthouse Beach & Hawa Beach.
Overnight stay in Kovalam.

Day 6 Kovalam to Kanyakumari (2.5 hrs) & Return

Drive to Kanyakumari.
Visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Thiruvalluvar Statue, and Kanyakumari Temple.
Enjoy the sunset at Kanyakumari Beach.
Return to Kovalam for overnight stay.

Day 7 Poovar Sightseeing & Boating

Visit Poovar Island, enjoy a backwater boating experience.
Explore Golden Sand Beach & Estuary.
Evening leisure at Kovalam Beach.
Overnight stay in Kovalam.

Day 8 Trivandrum Sightseeing & Drop

Visit Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Napier Museum, and Shangumugham Beach.

Amazing Kerala Trip with 7C Destination My wife and I booked a 6 nights / 7 d (Read More)ays Kerala package through 7C Destination, covering Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey, and Kovalam. Initially, I was a bit nervous since this travel agency was new to us, but the entire trip turned out to be wonderful and truly memorable. Munnar: We stayed for two nights at Aranyaka Resort, which had an excellent location, beautiful views, great room quality, and delicious breakfast. Staying in such a serene place among the tea gardens of Munnar was an amazing experience. Thekkady: Here we stayed for one night and visited the Periyar Tiger Reserve and watched a Kathakali performance. Both were unique and memorable cultural experiences. Alleppey: This was the highlight of our trip – staying overnight on a houseboat. The boat crew arranged a lovely candlelight dinner for us, which was truly special. The food was tasty, and spending the night on the water felt magical. Kovalam: We stayed two nights at The Neelakanta Resort, located right on Kovalam beach. The location and sea view were fantastic. However, the room felt a bit small, the chairs were old, and vegetarian food options were limited. Still, the beachside location made it worth it. Travel & Support: Throughout the trip, we were accompanied by Anil, our driver, who was polite, punctual, and very helpful, making our journey comfortable. A Special Thanks: I’d like to thank Kirti from 7C Destination, who helped plan this package. It turned out to be affordable, well-managed, and truly memorable for both of us. What started as a trip with some hesitation became an experience we’ll always cherish. If you’re planning to explore Kerala, I’d say 6N/7D is enough to see the major highlights comfortably, and you can trust 7C Destination to deliver a well-curated experience.

All destination Hotels and their Breakfast were excellent but suggest you to add (Read More) fruits and Bread/Toast Butter/Jam as option for children and some time for adult also.

Rather we would have preferred to stay in a hotel and take long ride of houseboat in the afternoon to late evening would have better.

Every part of travel good. The approach road to hotel Vagamon Vagashore at Vagamon and room service at Thekkady hotel named Kumly gate were poor .
