Day 1 Zanzibar to Selous- Full-Day Game Viewing - Zanzibar
  • In the morning, you will start your safari in Zanzibar, flying in a light aircraft to the Selous, one of Africa?s most significant game reserves.
  • Upon arrival at Mtemere airstrip, you will be greeted by our driver guide, who will provide a briefing about your day trip tour plan.
  • You will begin a safari game drive, sightseeing the wildlife in the park while driving through the savannah and along the rivers and lakes.
  • Game drives are the best way to explore large animals such as elephants and buffaloes, as well as predators like lions.
  • The Selous is also home to the largest population of wild dogs in Africa, which are a highlight if you are fortunate enough to encounter a pack.
  • At around noon, your guide will stop for a picnic lunch in a stunning location with a clear view of the park.
  • After lunch, you will continue to explore the African bush before returning to the airstrip at around 16:00 for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar.
