Day 1 Arrival at Bagdogra Airport, Transfer to Gangtok
  • Meet and greet on arrival at NJP station/Bagdogra Airport (IXB).
  • Transfer to Gangtok.
  • On arrival check-in at the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • After breakfast starts the city tour.
  • The first half covers Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok & Tashi View Point.
  • Later proceed for the rest of the points, that is the seven points - The Rumtek Monastery, Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms(closed on Sunday), Cable Car (buy your own ticket), Research Institute of Tibetology(closed on Sunday), Do-Drul-Chorten (Stupa) & Flower show.
  • The evening is free for personal activities & shopping.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • A day excursion to Tsomgo Lake - situated at a height of 3,780 Mts. with an average depth of 50 ft.
  • Visit Baba Mandir - the shrine made in the memory of sepoy Harbhajan Singh.
  • Return to Gangtok.
  • Spend the evening at leisure.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • After breakfast depart for Darjeeling.
  • On the way halt at Rafting Point in Chitrey (own cost).
  • Start Rafting from Melli To 29th Mile (a stretch of 11 Kms with rapids of plus II category).
  • After rafting continue the journey to Darjeeling.
  • On arrival check-in at the hotel.
  • Rest of the day free for personal activities.

  • In the early morning at 0400 AM visit Tiger Hill, famous for sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga.
  • On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • After breakfast proceed to visit 7 points, covering The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & PNZ Zoological Park ( both closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Self Help Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda & Ropeway (not operational only viewpoint).
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • After breakfast, leave for Mirik, a small picturesque hill station at 5100ft (1761m) with a beautiful lake surrounded by forested hills on all sides with the backdrop of Mt. Kanchenjunga.
  • The drive to Mirik runs through some fascinating tea gardens and pine forests.
  • Enjoy horse ride and boating at the lake,  boating payment direct).
  • On the way back to Darjeeling return via Pashupati Market in Nepal-India border(need extra vehicle to enter into the market, direct payment).
  • Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
  • Spend the evening at leisure.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
  • Morning free for packing.

What's Good: Well everything went as per schedule we both had a wonderful darshnan. Driver Amrith was like a son to us taking to all places physically assisting us and was resl so sweet. What's Good: Overall planning was good. but execution needs further improvement. We had slight hitches here and there with respect to hotel arrangements. The conveyance arranged was fine and th (Read More)e driver was skilled and well mannered, though slightly lacking in punctuality. The tour organisers were very cordial, polite and receptive to our suggestions. One suggestion is for the tour operator to coordinate with the hotels and detail the plans before the guests arrive so that no confusion arises at the reception counter on arrival. Overall I will give a rating of 8/10
