Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival at Bagdogra Airport, Transfer to Gangtok
- Meet and greet on arrival at NJP station/Bagdogra Airport (IXB).
- Transfer to Gangtok.
- On arrival check-in at the hotel.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 Explore Gangtok: Hanuman Tok, Rumtek Monastery, and Flower Show
- After breakfast starts the city tour.
- The first half covers Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok & Tashi View Point.
- Later proceed for the rest of the points, that is the seven points - The Rumtek Monastery, Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms(closed on Sunday), Cable Car (buy your own ticket), Research Institute of Tibetology(closed on Sunday), Do-Drul-Chorten (Stupa) & Flower show.
- The evening is free for personal activities & shopping.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
- A day excursion to Tsomgo Lake - situated at a height of 3,780 Mts. with an average depth of 50 ft.
- Visit Baba Mandir - the shrine made in the memory of sepoy Harbhajan Singh.
- Return to Gangtok.
- Spend the evening at leisure.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 Transfer to Darjeeling
- After breakfast depart for Darjeeling.
- On the way halt at Rafting Point in Chitrey (own cost).
- Start Rafting from Melli To 29th Mile (a stretch of 11 Kms with rapids of plus II category).
- After rafting continue the journey to Darjeeling.
- On arrival check-in at the hotel.
- Rest of the day free for personal activities.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 Explore Darjeeling: Visit Tiger Hill for Sunrise, and 7 Points
- In the early morning at 0400 AM visit Tiger Hill, famous for sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga.
- On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop.
- Return to the hotel.
- After breakfast proceed to visit 7 points, covering The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & PNZ Zoological Park ( both closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Self Help Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda & Ropeway (not operational only viewpoint).
- Return to the hotel.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 Excursion To Mirik & Pashupati Market
- After breakfast, leave for Mirik, a small picturesque hill station at 5100ft (1761m) with a beautiful lake surrounded by forested hills on all sides with the backdrop of Mt. Kanchenjunga.
- The drive to Mirik runs through some fascinating tea gardens and pine forests.
- Enjoy horse ride and boating at the lake, boating payment direct).
- On the way back to Darjeeling return via Pashupati Market in Nepal-India border(need extra vehicle to enter into the market, direct payment).
- Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
- Spend the evening at leisure.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7 Depart from Darjeeling, Tour Ends
- Morning free for packing.
- Check out from the hotel.
- Transfer to NJP Station or Bagdogra airport for the return journey.

Our Sikkim and Darjeeling trip was well planned and organized. The hotels provid (Read More)ed throughout the journey were comfortable, clean, and met our expectations. A special thanks to Anuradha Ma'am for her continuous support, prompt responses, and assistance before and during the trip. Her guidance made the overall experience smooth and enjoyable. The Sikkim portion of the tour was excellent and exceeded our expectations.
While our experience in Sikkim was excellent, the Darjeeling portion of the trip (Read More) could have been better. The driver assigned in Darjeeling displayed rude and unprofessional behavior, which affected our overall experience. Better customer service and courteous behavior from the driver would have made the trip much more enjoyable.
