Day 1 Arrival in Chiang Mai - Leisure Day
- Check into your accommodation in Chiang Mai and take some time to relax and settle in.
- Explore the local area and get acquainted with Chiang Mai's vibrant atmosphere, perhaps visiting nearby markets or enjoying a leisurely stroll through the old town.
- Overnight stay in Chiang Mai
Day 2 Songkran Festival - Alms-giving Ceremony & Water Battle
- Wake up to the excitement of the Songkran Festival as the city comes alive with celebrations.
- Travel to Doi Suthep Mountain. At the foothills you’ll join locals in the daily alms-giving ceremony, placing offerings in the bowls of barefoot monks.
- Head to the streets armed with water guns or buckets and join in the spirited water fights, dousing fellow revelers and passersby in a playful display of joy and camaraderie.
- Visit some of Chiang Mai's temples, such as Wat Phra Singh or Wat Chedi Luang, to witness special Songkran ceremonies and receive blessings from Buddhist monks.
- Spend the evening at your leisure

Day 3 Elephant Nature Park Tour with Picnic Lunch
- In the early morning, you will be picked up by a shuttle bus from the hotel.
- Drive through the Thai countryside to Elephant Nature Park.
- En route to the Park, you will see a film to learn more about the Elephant Nature Park, followed by a safety talk by your guide.
- On arrival at the park, you will meet and feed the elephants before starting your walk with them into the surrounding forests with the herd.
- Enjoy a picnic lunch in the beautiful surroundings.
- When you return to the river you bathe the elephants in the river and head back to Elephant Nature Park on a river raft.
- Enjoy more time with the herd before a tea/coffee break.
- Return to the hotel in Chiang Mai around 06:30 pm.
- The rest of the evening is free for you to explore the town.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 Departure - Farewell to Songkran
- Spend your final morning in Chiang Mai reflecting on your Songkran experience and soaking up the last moments of the festival.
- Take one last stroll through the streets, bidding farewell to the city's bustling markets and vibrant atmosphere.
- Check out of your accommodation and depart from Chiang Mai, taking with you memories of a truly unforgettable Songkran celebration.

Overall planning was good. but execution needs further improvement. We had sligh (Read More)t hitches here and there with respect to hotel arrangements. The conveyance arranged was fine and the driver was skilled and well mannered, though slightly lacking in punctuality. The tour organisers were very cordial, polite and receptive to our suggestions. One suggestion is for the tour operator to coordinate with the hotels and detail the plans before the guests arrive so that no confusion arises at the reception counter on arrival. Overall I will give a rating of 8/10
