Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival at Srinagar - Mughal Gardens & Dal Lake
- On arrival at Srinagar, meet our representative at the airport by displaying your name card.
- Check-in to Srinagar hotel and go for local sightseeing.
- Visit the Mughal Gardens and Nishat Bagh built by Asaf Khan in 1632 AD.
- Next, visit Shalimar Bagh built by Jehangir for his wife empress Nur Jahan.
*All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background. - Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 2 Day Trip to Gulmarg - Meadows & Mountains
- After breakfast, leave for Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) at 2730 mts. above the sea level.
Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and highest golf course with 18 holes. If weather permits one can also have the view of Nanga Parbat, the naked mountain that is over 26,000 feets and dominates the entire region. - Enjoy cable car (Gondola at personal cost) for mountain ride up to Khilangmarg.
- In the evening, drive back to Srinagar.
- Over night stay in hotel.
Day 3 Day Trip to Sonmarg - Scenic Valleys
- After breakfast, leave for Sonmarg (Meadow of Gold).
Sonmarg lies in Sindh Valley, streamed with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonmarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude Himalayan Lakes. - Over night stay in hotel .
Day 4 Transfer to Pahalgam - Saffron Fields & Pine Forests
- Drive to Pahalgam (The valley of shepherds) after breakfast.
- En-route, visit the saffron fields of Pampore, Awantipura Ruins which is a 1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by the King Awantivarman.
- Enjoy the beautiful countryside along the drive.
- Drive throught the pine forests.
- Arrive at Pahalgam and enjoy Lidder stream.
- Later, walk along pony trails with a magnificent view of the mountains.
- Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 5 Return Back to Srinagar - Market Visit & Houseboat Stay
- After breakfast, visit local market at Pahalgam.
- Post this, drive to Srinagar in the afternoon.
- After reaching Srinagar, check-in to the Houseboat.
- Trip to the Lake in the evening.
- Next, visit Floating Gardens and interesting canals through a luxurious Shikara ride.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Houseboat.
Day 6 Departure from Srinagar
- After breakfast, proceed to Airport on time for your onwards destination or return home with wonderful memories of your holiday in beautiful Kashmir.
