Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Srinagar - Mughal Gardens and Dal Lake
  • Our representative at the Srinagar airport will meet and assist with your transfer to the Hotel. 
  • Later proceed for a  sightseeing tour to world-famous Mughal gardens including Shalimar, Nishat, Tulip gardens (Asia’s biggest tulip garden) botanical gardens, Chesmashahi, Parimahal & Famous Hazratbal. All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background.
  • Dinner and Overnight in the hotel.
  • Today, after breakfast, proceed on a day excursion to Sonamarg (Golden Meadow).
  • Sonamarg lies in Sind Valley, which is filled with flowers and surrounded by mountains. It is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitudes of the Himalayan Lakes.
  • Enjoy horse riding up to Thajiwas Glacier and sled riding on snow (on direct payment).
  • Overnight stay at a hotel in Srinagar.
  • Morning leave for Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers), 2730 meters above sea level.
  • Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes on the golf course, with 18 holes. If weather permits, one can also have a view of Nanga Parbat. This naked mountain is over 26,000 feet and dominates the entire region; enjoy a cable car (Gondola at own cost) for a mountain ride up to Khilangmarg. 
  • Evening back to Hotel & Overnight stay.
  • After breakfast proceed to Pahalgam (The valley of shepherds). En-route, visiting the saffron fields of Pampore, Awantipura Ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantivarman), and enjoy the beautiful countryside.
  • Drive through the pine forests.
  • Arrive at Pahalgam and enjoy the Lidder stream.
  • Later walk along pony trails with a magnificent view of the mountains.

Stay at houseboat was not upto the mark. Dinner was below average. They do not p (Read More)rovide water with meal. Hygiene and cleanliness was below average. There is lot of cheating at Gulmarg and Sonmarg. Shopping should be avoided because they charge you exorbitantly with poor quality.
