Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Dehradun
  • This is the reporting day at Dehradun, our main base (starting and ending point) for the Helitour.
  • We arrange this extra night halt for the passengers, inclusive of dinner and breakfast, to help them wind down and be fully ready for the journey ahead.
  • Passengers will be picked up from Dehradun Airport/railway station/bus stand according to their arrival timings.
  • In the evening, there will be a mandatory Tour Briefing conducted by our Dehradun team at 19:00 Hrs. During the briefing, duffel bags will be provided, and passengers must pack their necessary luggage (maximum 5 kg/person).
  • Please note: Our staff will take the body weight of each pilgrim during the tour briefing, so kindly ensure you attend.

Sahastradhara to Yamunotri

  • 06:30 Hrs: Check out from Dehradun hotel.

  • 07:30 Hrs: ETD from Sahastradhara Helidrome.

  • 08:00 Hrs: ETA at Kharsali Helipad/similar.

  • This is the starting day of the Chardham Yatra. Passengers will check out from the hotel after an early morning breakfast and will be picked up by our team to head to Sahastradhara Helidrome.

  • Upon arrival, our ground staff will welcome the passengers and help them settle into the hotel, which is walking distance from the helipad.

  • After reaching the hotel, passengers will be taken for darshan as soon as possible to avoid the yatra rush.

Approximate Time for Yamunotri Temple Darshan: 5 hours 30 minutes (round trip). The Yamunotri trek is 6 km one way.

Sightseeing at Kharsali:

  • Hot Spring at Yamunotri Temple
  • Yamuna Mata Temple
  • Shani Temple

Note: Kharsali village/Barkot is the least developed destination among the Chardhams, and hotel accommodations will be basic.

Yamunotri to Gangotri

  • 08:00 Hrs: ETD from Kharsali Heli-Base.

  • 08:30 Hrs: ETA at Jhalla/Harsil Helipad.

  • After breakfast, passengers will check out by 07:30 Hrs.

  • Upon arrival at Jhalla helipad, passengers will be taken to Harsil village and checked into the hotel.

  • Harsil: Known for its abundant apple orchards, this is the most scenic and beautiful destination of the tour.

  • Gangotri Dham darshan will be arranged before or after lunch, depending on the rush.

Approximate Time for Gangotri Temple Darshan: 3 hours 30 minutes (round trip). The road distance to Gangotri Temple is approximately 25 km, which is roughly a 50-minute drive.

Sightseeing at Harsil:

  • Bagodi Village
  • Ancient Laxmi Narayan Temple
  • Many nearby nature walks to explore

Gangotri to Sersi

  • 08:30 Hrs: ETD from Jhalla/Harsil Helipad.

  • 09:00 Hrs: ETA at Sersi Heli-Base.

  • After breakfast, passengers will check out by 07:30 Hrs.

  • Upon arrival at Sersi Heli-base, passengers will be ferried to Kedarnath Dham for darshan using shuttle services flights.

Approximate Time for Kedarnath Temple Darshan: 2 hours.

Shuttle Service Details:

  • The shuttle flight from Sersi to Kedarnath is approximately 7 minutes.
  • Passengers may be ferried in different shuttle service flights due to the maximum weight-carrying capacity of the aircraft at high-altitude destinations.

Sightseeing at Sersi:

  • Triyuginarayan Temple – The venue of the celestial marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati (subject to weather and road traffic conditions).

Sersi to Badrinath

  • 06:00 Hrs: ETD from Sersi Heli-Base.

  • 06:30 Hrs: ETA at Badrinath Helipad.

  • Passengers will check out by 05:00/05:30 Hrs.

  • Upon arrival at Badrinath, passengers will first check in to the hotel and have breakfast. Darshan and sightseeing will be arranged after breakfast or lunch, depending on the rush.

Approximate Time for Badrinath Temple Darshan: 1 to 1.5 hours. Passengers will be taken from the hotel to the temple by car.

Sightseeing at Badrinath:

  • Mana Village – Known as the "First Village of India" due to its proximity to the China border.
  • Aarti/Special Pooja at Badrinath Temple: Swaran/Chandi Aarti (available at an additional cost, with extra vehicle charges).

Badrinath to Sahastradhara

  • 06:30 Hrs: ETD from Badrinath Helipad.

  • 07:30 Hrs: ETA at Sahastradhara Helidrome.

  • Passengers will check out by 05:30/05:45 Hrs.

  • Upon arrival, our team will receive the passengers and take them to the Dehradun hotel to collect their luggage from the cloakroom and have breakfast.

  • Later, passengers will be dropped off at the airport/railway station, marking the end of the Chardham Yatra.

  • Maximum Combined Weight for Passengers: 450 kg (excluding baggage).
  • Overweight Charges: ₹2,000/kg for passengers exceeding 75 kg.

Health Advisory:

Connectivity:
  • Limited network availability at Harsil & Badrinath (BSNL, Airtel, Jio).
COVID Travel Guidelines
  • COVID protocols must be adhered to by passengers as per the effective mandate of the government.
  • Boarding Denial: Passengers who fail to comply with government guidelines will be denied boarding without a refund.
Seating Capacity
  • The seating capacity of the helicopter is 6 passengers.
  • Helicopter Weight Limitation
  • Maximum Weight Capacity: 450 kg (excluding baggage weight).
  • Passengers are boarded based on load and temperature conditions. The pilot’s decision will be final.
  • Passengers must provide their exact body weights at the time of booking.
  • Exceeding Weight Capacity: Passengers exceeding the helicopter’s weight capacity will be deboarded, and their Heli-tour will be canceled without a refund.
Overweight Charges:
  • Overweight charges are applicable at ₹2,000/kg for passengers weighing above 75 kg.
  • Excess weight will be calculated on the total excess weight above the permissible weight of all group members combined:Permissible Weight: 75 kg × (Number of passengers).
  • Discrepancies in submitted body weights will incur overweight charges, collected prior to boarding.
  • Note: Please submit your final weight after considering the additional weight of clothes and shoes.
Arrival Date
  • Our Chardham 5N/6D Heli-tours are booked based on the flying date (Day 2 of the tour).
  • Passengers must report to Dehradun one day prior to the flying date.
Bad Weather & Force Majeure Disclaimer
  • Flying in the hills is subject to bad weather and other force majeure factors, such as:
  • Delayed air traffic clearances/permissions.
  • VVIP movements.
  • Valley flying by Indian Air Force (NOTAM).
  • Technical snags in the aircraft.
  • Illness of the flying crew.
  • Late reporting of passengers at the helipad.
  • Passengers must be prepared for possible delays or inconveniences in such situations.
Required Documents
  • Indian Passengers: Aadhar Card copies.
  • Foreign Nationals: Passport copies.

Cancellation Policy

  • If passengers cancel their booking, the following charges will apply
  • More than 25 days prior to the travel date: 30% of the total tour cost.
  • 15 to 25 days prior to the travel date: 50% of the total tour cost.
  • 8 to 14 days prior to the travel date: 75% of the total tour cost.
  • 7 days or less prior to the travel date: No refund.
  • No Show: No refund.
  • After commencement of the tour: No refund.
Force Majeure & Bad Weather Refunds
Refund Basis:
  • Tour Cost Refunds for Uncovered Dhams:Kharsali/Yamunotri: 20% of the tour cost, minus ₹30,000 towards flight preparation charges and utilized services (if any).
  • Jhalla/Gangotri: 25% of the tour cost, minus ₹30,000 towards flight preparation & service charges, and utilized services (if any).
  • Sersi/Kedarnath: 25% of the tour cost, minus ₹30,000 towards flight preparation & service charges, and utilized services (if any).
  • Badrinath: 30% of the tour cost, minus ₹30,000 towards flight preparation & service charges, and utilized services (if any).
  • Full Tour Cancellation: Full refund minus ₹30,000 towards flight preparation, hotel retention charges, and utilized services (if any).
Additional Services:
  • The cost of any additional services provided at any Dham during the tour will be deducted from the refundable tour cost.
Refund Restrictions:
  • Refunds will not be provided for unutilized services.
  • COVID-19 Lockdowns or National/State Emergencies
  • If passengers test positive for COVID-19 before travel, or if the government calls off the Yatra, no refunds will be given.
  • Passengers will receive a credit voucher from the Heli service provider, valid for one year. This voucher can be used for any helicopter tours or charter services by the passengers or their friends/relatives.
Bad Weather & Force Majeure Policies
Flight Cancellations or Delays:
  • In case of bad weather, technical snags, or force majeure factors beyond Heli Services’ control, flights may be canceled or delayed.
  • Refunds will be processed as per the refunds policy.
  • No compensation or reimbursement will be provided for accommodation, transportation, meals, or other travel expenses incurred due to flight cancellations.
Tour Departure Delays:
  • If Day 1 departure from Dehradun is delayed, the tour will be considered canceled, and a full refund will be provided as per policy.
  • Passengers may opt to reschedule for the next available date with a fresh booking. The balance amount from the previous booking can be adjusted, and any additional costs will be borne by the passengers.
Midway Disruptions:
  • If the tour departs from Dehradun but is disrupted, the operator will propose a revised itinerary within the scheduled package days.
  • Extensions requested by passengers will incur extra costs and are subject to operational viability.
Flight Non-Operation for 5 Consecutive Days:
  • Full refunds will be processed as per policy.
  • Newly scheduled passengers will be prioritized over backlog passengers.
Stranded at Kedarnath Top:
  • Accommodation charges at Kedarnath due to bad weather or force majeure will be borne directly by the client.
Additional Night Halts:
  • Passengers must pay directly for additional nights at hotels if delays exceed the 5N/6D period.
Extra Helicopter Flying:
  • Additional helicopter flying at the end of the tour will be chargeable at ₹1,20,000/hour plus UCADA royalty, landing charges, and GST.
Harsil/Jhalla Flights:
  • Flights to Harsil/Jhalla may not operate in turbulent wind conditions, typically after 12:00 PM.
Mid-Tour Cancellations:
  • If passengers cancel midway through the tour, transportation will be arranged by the operator, but the passengers will directly bear costs.
Government Levies or Taxes
  • Any increase in levies or taxes after booking confirmation will be chargeable to passengers, payable before the tour commences.
Disputes
  • All disputes related to legality, interpretation, application, or performance of service will be governed by the laws under the Delhi Jurisdiction.
Acceptance of Terms
  • Bookings will be processed only upon acceptance of the above terms and conditions by the passengers.

Hotel selections were impressive: Hotel Sea View at Kanyakumari offered breathtaking sunrise views and delicious food. Hotel Germanus in Madurai, Hotel Soma Palmshore in Kovalam, and Hotel Taika in Rameshwaram provided pleasant stays with good food and courteous staff. The houseboat experience was outstanding, with mouth-watering local cuisine, including an unforgettable fish fry. However, hot water for bathing was not available. Some valuable tips for future travelers: verify temple timings and dress code regulations in advance to optimize your itinerary. Ladies can find lovely, affordable sarees and dress materials. Engaging local drivers or guides can also enhance your experience. What's Not Good: The houseboat experience was outstanding, with mouth-watering local cuisine, including an unforgettable fish fry. However, hot water for bathing was not available and no more activities at the shore. Rather we would have preferred to stay in a hotel and take long ride of houseboat in the afternoon to late evening would have better.

Resort and hotel suggestions to suit my budget and strategically selected closer to places of interest was truly 5 star service from the agent. My solo trip was made safe and comfortable. Great sugge (Read More)stions were made to choose places to visit to make the trip fun, enjoyable and memorable. This awesome trip in a very long time was fun and refreshing. The paradise in Kerala will transcend your soul to haven. People are welcoming and friendly. I recommend Varkala tranquil beeches and Kovalam backwaters for the ultimate fun experience. Gods Own Country’s Kitchen is recommended for some great food and live music on the Varkala cliff point. If south temple architecture peeks your interest, then there are a few gems from ancient times hidden here to explore maintaining sanctity and faith in true form. Solo travellers pay couples rate which can be heavy on the purse. South India need to warm up to the idea that solo traveller numbers are increasing, male and female alike and in all age groups. Not only the cost of travel but people’s outlook need to change. Most of the temples here are only for believers in faith. Kanyakumari was crowded during the Diwali break. The seashore here is only to soak in the view. Thiruvananthapuram Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple darshan was divine however fleeting it maybe, but the mandapa which adorns the beautiful sculptures is out of bounds for devotees. The Garbhagudi could be well lit, so the devotees can properly catch a glimpse of the lord and be blessed. Since architecture is out of bounds recommend special entry for swift darshan.
