Day 1 Arrival in Phuntosholing
- Arrive at Bagdogra (IXB).
- Transfer at Phuentsholing, the border town of Bhutan.
- Complete immigration formalities and check into your hotel.
- Explore the local market and take a stroll in the town.
- Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 2 Phuentsholing - Thimphu
- After breakfast, drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, which takes approximately 5 hours.
- Visit the Buddha Dordenma (Buddha Point) and enjoy panoramic views of Thimphu Valley.
- Explore the Folk Heritage Museum and the Textile Museum to learn about Bhutanese culture and traditions.
- Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3 Thimphu Sightseeing
- Spend a full day exploring Thimphu.
- Visit the National Memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong, and the Takin Preserve.
- Explore the weekend market (open from Friday to Sunday) and interact with local vendors.

Day 4 Thimphu - Paro

Day 5 Paro Sightseeing
- Embark on an early morning hike to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest.
- Enjoy the stunning views from the monastery perched on a cliff.
- In the afternoon, visit the Drukgyel Dzong (ruins of a historic fortress) and the 7th-century Kila Nunnery.
- Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 6 Paro - Phuentsholing
- Drive back to Phuentsholing, which takes approximately 5 hours.
- Visit the Zangtho Pelri Lhakhang and Karbandi Monastery en route.
- Enjoy your last evening in Bhutan exploring Phuentsholing.
- Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

The booking and arrangements initially was excellent. Reeta was contacting me almost daily to assist me and finalise my itenerary. She also accommodated my pref (Read More)erred hotel requests. I then made payment ,on 7 October 2024. Since then Reeta has stopped communicating. She however did ask her office to send me internal travel arrangements (after I requested the details) and I have since only had communications from Nikhil from her office.
I just feel that I should have been advised by Reeta, that after initial sale by her , I will be handed over to her office admin for ongoing communication. Then I would understand. Otherwise I just felt neglected.
Hope it all starts and ends well. I only arrive in Mumbai on 11/11/2024. But still dont know who will meet me at airport.
