Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / NJP Railway Station (NJP) – Phuentsholing
- Pick up from Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or NJP Railway Station (NJP) and transfer to Phuentsholing.
- Meet and greet upon arrival in Phuentsholing (298 Mts/ 977 Ft).
- Go to the Phuentsholing Immigration office for Bhutan entry formalities, assisted by the Bhutan representative.
- Check-in at the hotel upon arrival.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 Phuentsholing -Thimphu
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
- Complete Visa/Permit formalities with assistance from the Bhutan representative.
- Transfer to Thimphu (2320 Mts / 7656 Ft, 158 Kms, approx 05 to 06 hours).
- Check-in at the hotel in Thimphu.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 Thimphu - Full Day Local sightseeing – Thimphu
- After breakfast, begin sightseeing in Thimphu.
- Visit Sangaygang View Point (BBS Tower) at 2865 Mts / 9397 Ft for a panoramic view of Thimphu.
- Visit Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodong) and the giant Buddha statue.
- Explore the Institute for Zorig Chusum (Traditional Art & Craft School) (entrance fee INR 100 approx).

- Visit local Handicraft Shops (closed on Saturday, Sunday, and national holidays).

- Visit the Motithang Takin Preservation Centre (entrance fee INR 300 approx, closed on Mondays).

Day 4 Thimphu - Punakha /Wangdi
- After breakfast, drive to Punakha / Wangdi (1273 Mts / 4177 Ft, 70 Kms, approx 03 to 3½ hours).
- Cross the scenic Dochu La Pass (3080 Mts / 10102 Ft).
- Visit Punakha Dzong (entrance fee INR 500 approx).
- If time permits, visit the Suspension Bridge and walk to Chimi Lhakhang (Monastery) (entrance fee INR 1000 approx).
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 Punakha / Wangdi via Lampari - Paro
- After breakfast, check out and drive to Paro (2200 Mts / 7656 Ft, 148 Kms, approx 04 to 04 ½ hours).
- Stop at Dochu La Pass and Lamperi to visit the Royal Botanical Garden (entrance fee INR 100 approx).
- Check-in at the hotel in Paro.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 Paro - Full day Local Sightseeing - Paro - Phuentsholing (Bhutan)
- After breakfast, begin a full day of sightseeing in Paro.
- Visit Dungtse Lhakhang and head to the Bird Eye Viewpoint for stunning views of Paro Valley and the airport.
- Continue the tour with visits to Ta Dzong (National Museum), Rinpung Dzong, and Kichu Lhakhang.
- After sightseeing, drive to Phuentsholing (176 Kms, approx 04 to 05 hours).
- Check-in at the hotel upon arrival in Phuentsholing.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7 Phuentsholing - Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / NJP Railway Station (NJP)
- After breakfast, transfer to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or NJP Railway Station (NJP) for onward connection.
- The drive takes approximately 40 to 45 minutes (15 Kms).

We loved everything about the trip. Me and my husband travelled to Bhutan and ou (Read More)r request was a very last minute request but the Tour Manager Mr. Bharath ji ensured a completely hassle free and smooth programme for us. Right from taking care of our permits to ensuring our safety throughout the trip and also till we reached our home Bharath ji and his team ensured we had a great time. Also would like to mention when I raised a request for Bhutan trip on Holidify me Bharath ji was the first tour operator who reached out to us with a perfect plan within 30 minutes.
The rooms were great and spacious. We being vegetarians were little worried about the food , but thanks to Bharath ji and his Team they ensured taking great care of our curated meals in all locations. Special mention to our guide Sonam ji and Our driver Sidhdhart ji, we started as a team and always felt we were traveling as a team. Excellent services and warmth. We became more like a family during the trip. I would highly recommend Bharath ji and his team for all ages and all plans to Bhutan.

Right from the planning stage, the team was extremely flexible and attentive. They offered multiple itinerary options and thoughtfully customized the plan based on our preferences. What stood out most was how patiently they listened to our requests and curated the entire trip to ensure comfort and ease.
All arrangements were excellent — a clean and comfortable car, premium 4/5 star hotels, and two wonderful tour guides, Mr. Sonam and Mr. Siddharth.
The guides were highly knowledgeable, considerate, and genuinely warm. During the 5-day trip, I learned a great deal about Bhutan’s history, monarchy, political and administrative systems, culture, traditional attire, food, and Buddhism. Sonam and Siddharth explained everything patiently and in great detail, making the experience both insightful and enjoyable.
A special mention to the beautiful candlelight dinner curated exclusively for us — it was thoughtfully arranged and added a truly romantic and personal touch to the trip. We also had an amazing karaoke night with the guides, which was incredibly fun and made the entire experience feel even more warm, friendly, and memorable.
