Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Paro - Transfer to Thimphu

Arrive at Paro International Airport, where you'll be greeted by our representative.
Drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, enjoying scenic views of the Himalayas along the way.
Check into your hotel and relax after your journey.
In the evening, take a leisurely stroll around Thimphu's main street and explore the local markets.
Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 2 Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Thimphu.
Visit the Memorial Chorten, a stupa dedicated to the third king of Bhutan.
Explore the Changangkha Lhakhang, a 12th-century fortress-like temple.
Discover the Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan's national animal, the Takin.
Visit the Tashichho Dzong, a majestic fortress housing the throne room and government offices.
In the evening, stroll around Thimphu's craft bazaar and shop for local handicrafts.
Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 3 Thimphu to Punakha - En Route Dochula Pass

After breakfast, drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan.
En route, stop at Dochula Pass (3,100 meters) and admire panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Visit the Druk Wangyal Lhakhang, a beautiful temple built in honor of the fourth king of Bhutan.
Continue your journey to Punakha and check into your hotel.
In the afternoon, visit Punakha Dzong, an architectural masterpiece located at the confluence of two rivers.
Overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 4 Punakha to Bumthang (Bhutanese Cultural Heartland)

After breakfast, drive to Bumthang, known as the cultural heartland of Bhutan.
En route, stop at Trongsa Dzong, the largest dzong in Bhutan, and explore its architectural grandeur.
Continue your journey to Bumthang, passing through scenic valleys and quaint villages.
Check into your hotel upon arrival and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 5 Bumthang Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Bumthang.
Visit Jakar Dzong, the fortress of the white bird, overlooking the picturesque valley.
Explore Jambay Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, dating back to the 7th century.
Discover Kurjey Lhakhang, known for its sacred imprint of Guru Rinpoche's body.
Visit Tamshing Lhakhang, a temple founded by Terton Pema Lingpa.
In the evening, stroll around the charming town of Jakar and interact with the locals.
Overnight stay in Bumthang.

Day 6 Transfer to Paro Valley

After breakfast, drive back to Paro, soaking in the scenic beauty of the Bhutanese countryside.
Upon arrival in Paro, visit the National Museum of Bhutan, housed in the Ta Dzong (watchtower).
Explore Paro Rinpung Dzong, a fortress-monastery overlooking the Paro Valley.
In the evening, stroll around Paro town and shop for souvenirs.

Day 7 Departure from Paro

After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey.

What's Not Good: During return from Bhutan to bagdogra.. the driver driving wasn't smooth.. Otherwise all good.

What's Good: From the very start i.e trip planning, to the very end i.e us reaching our home, Mr Bharat and AVTT representatives have, in my opinion - truly delivered. The itinerary was flawl (Read More)essly planned and executed, perfectly accommodating even the smallest of our needs along the way. We had the pleasure of meeting some truly wonderful people during our trip: Roma, our guide, was exceptionally generous with her time and always eager to answer our questions. I had always thought that tour guides were often hard to connect with, but I was completely wrong. Her thoughtful insights, engaging stories, and lighthearted conversations, often laced with humor, truly enhanced our experience. Mr. Bikas, our driver, was a great guy with some fantastic stories! We had a blast listening to him, and his punctuality was spot on—no matter how hard we tried, we couldn’t beat him at being on time! ? And finally, Mr. Bharat and his family—it’s clear that he is incredibly professional and deeply passionate about delivering outstanding experiences through AVTT. From the moment I began planning this trip, I had a strong impression of his dedication, and meeting him in Thimphu only confirmed it. As for Bhutan itself... it’s absolutely worth visiting. I won’t go into the details here, but I’ll just say, "Make sure to visit at least once in your lifetime." All in all, it was an unforgettable trip, and I highly recommend AVTT to anyone planning to visit Bhutan

What's Good: Tour was proper Planed, Tour Guide is very Friendly. Hotel which we stay was not so good (food is not very tasty), but hotel staff was very supportive they tried to serve good no (Read More)rth indian food :).
What's Not Good: while travelling to and fro from Bagdogra to phuentsholing 3 days got wasted.
