Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Athens
  • On arrival at Athens International airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.
  • The rest of the day is free at leisure.
  • In the evening, enjoy a traditional taverna in the old district of Plaka for a delicious Greek dinner and colourful folklore show.
  • Overnight in Athens.
  • Experience the best of Athens on an Hop on Hop off tour of the city. Popular attractions to visit are Acropolis, Pantheon, Plaka, Syntagma Square, and Omonia Square interspersed with many museums and landmarks. See the best of Athens at your own pace.
  • Overnight in Athens.
  • Transfer from the hotel in Athens to the hotel in Olympia, and en-route visit historical attractions and the smaller Greek cities.
  • Set out to discover Olympia on an exciting and fascinating city tour. Pass by the New Olympic stadium to see the Athens 2004 Olympics main venue.
  • Later, visit the Corinth Canal which connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. Drive to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theatre, world-famous for its outstanding acoustics. Proceed to Nauplia and through the plain of Argos and arrive at Mycenae. Enjoy the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon.
  • In the afternoon, you will have an opportunity to shop for souvenirs.
  • Later, depart for Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, through the cities of Tripolis and Megalopolis.
  • Overnight in Olympia.
  • Transfer from the hotel in Olympia to the hotel in Delphi, and en-route visit various archaeological sites and the village of Arachova.
  • Set off to explore the archaeological sites including the Temple of Zeus, the temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the archaeological museum.
  • Later, proceed via Patras to Rion, cross the Corinthian bay by the new bridge to Antirion.
  • Enjoy passing by the city of Nafpaktos and from there on, along the coastal road to Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world.
  • In the afternoon, visit the picturesque mountain village of Arachova known for its wines, the amazing cheese products, the shaggy rugs and wool weavings.
  • Overnight in Delphi.
  • Transfer from the hotel in Delphi to the hotel in Kalambaka, and en route visit the museum of Delphi.
  • After breakfast, visit the museum of Delphi. The museum's collection displays some of the finest chronicles from history dating from the 15th century BC to the 4th century AD, including the many magnificent treasures donated from places throughout the classical world.
  • Later, depart for Kalambaka via Central Greece. Kalambaka is a small town built at the foot of the majestic and unique grey rocks, crowned by the Meteora Monasteries.
  • Overnight in Kalambaka.
  • Transfer from the hotel in Kalambaka to the hotel in Athens, en-route visit the monasteries at Meteora.
  • Enjoy a morning visit to the ageless monasteries perched high atop the huge rocks of Meteora.
  • Later, you will proceed on a drive to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and passing by the monument of Leonidas at Thermopylae. Trikala is one of the places touted as the birthplace of physician-god Asklepios, whose old sanctuary Asklepeion, is located in the city's central square. Lamia, the chief town of the nomos of Phthiotis is believed in ancient times to be the home of Achilles lying at the foot of Mt Othrys. The site of the Acropolis is now occupied by a medieval castle.
  • Overnight in Athens.

What's Not Good: Some days 2-3 shopping places however we enjoyed everything.
