Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Hanoi Arrival

Xin Chào Vietnam! Welcome to Hanoi – the capital city of Vietnam. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a local tour guide and transferred to downtown. Check in to your hotel (standard check-in time: 2:00 PM).

In the afternoon, visit Ba Đình Square, the largest square in Hanoi where major cultural and political events take place. Explore the Ho Chi Minh Complex, including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (view from outside), Ho Chi Minh’s House-on-Stilts, and the One-Pillar Pagoda. Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university.

Enjoy a 1-hour cyclo tour around Hanoi’s Old Quarter and Hoàn Kiếm Lake (Sword Lake). Stroll through the narrow streets to experience the local way of life. Return to the hotel for rest and overnight stay in Hanoi.

Depart for Halong Bay at 8:00 AM in a shared van (approx. 4-hour drive). Arrive at the port around 12:00 PM and board your cruise. Enjoy a welcome drink and check in to your cabin.

Have a fresh, local Vietnamese lunch while cruising through the stunning limestone formations of Halong Bay. Stop for a swim and visit a mysterious cave. Explore a secluded island beach or go kayaking.

Return to the boat in time for sunset on the sundeck before enjoying a seafood dinner on board. Overnight on the cruise.

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, continue cruising through Halong Bay, passing by islets such as Sail Island, Fisherman’s Head Rock, Butterfly Rock, and Turtle Islet.

Visit Surprise Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay. Check out of your cabin and enjoy brunch on board as the cruise returns to the pier.

Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi by the cruise’s shuttle bus. Arrive at your hotel and check in. Enjoy free time at leisure.

Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Danang. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your beachside hotel (standard check-in time: 2:00–3:00 PM).

In the afternoon, visit Hoi An Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk across the Japanese Covered Bridge, explore traditional Chinese Assembly Halls, and visit historic ancient houses. Enjoy the lively market by the Thu Bon River and shop for silk, lanterns, or tailored clothing.

Return to Danang for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, transfer to Ba Na Hills, one of the most spectacular attractions in Danang. Take a cable car to the mountain summit (1,487m above sea level).

Visit Debay Ancient Wine Cellar, Le Jardin D’Amour, Linh Ứng Pagoda, and Thích Ca Buddhist Statue. Spend time at Fantasy Park, an indoor amusement park. Walk across the famous Golden Bridge and take in the panoramic views of Danang.

Return by cable car and transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Danang.

Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam’s most dynamic metropolis. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to the hotel (standard check-in time: 2:00 PM).

Begin your city tour with a visit to the War Remnants Museum, showcasing exhibits on the Vietnam War. Continue to the Reunification Palace, which played a crucial role in the war’s end. Visit Notre Dame Cathedral (view from outside) and the Central Post Office, a colonial-era landmark.

End the tour at Ben Thanh Market, where you can explore local goods and souvenirs. Overnight in Saigon.

After breakfast, depart for My Tho, the gateway to the Mekong Delta. Visit Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda, a historic temple with Chinese, Cambodian, and French influences.

Take a boat ride along the Mekong River, passing stilt houses and fruit plantations. Stop at Tortoise Islet for lunch in an orchard garden. Visit An Khánh, a less touristy area in Bến Tre, where you’ll enjoy a hand-rowed sampan ride under coconut trees. Taste honey tea, coconut candy, and enjoy traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music.

Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon. Overnight in Saigon.

After breakfast, travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network used during the Vietnam War. Watch a short documentary about the tunnels before exploring the underground passages. Learn about the traps, kitchens, and bunkers that were used by Vietnamese soldiers. Try cassava and tea, a staple wartime food.

Return to Ho Chi Minh City. The afternoon is free for leisure or shopping. Overnight in Saigon.

Have breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy free time until check-out (11:00 AM–12:00 PM). Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
