Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport - Transfer to Gangtok
  • Arrive at NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport and meet our representative.
  • Transfer to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim.
  • Check-in at the hotel and freshen up.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the local markets or relaxing at the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at Gangtok.
  • After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake, located at an altitude of 12,400 feet.
  • Enjoy the serene beauty of the lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
  • Visit Baba Mandir, a revered shrine dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, a soldier of the Indian Army.
  • Return to Gangtok in the evening.
  • Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After an early breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Lachen. Visit scenic spots like Singhik View Point, Seven Sister Waterfall, and Naga Waterfall. Arrive in Lachen by evening and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Gurudongmar Lake: Situated at an altitude of 17,100 ft, Gurudongmar Lake is considered sacred by Buddhists and Hindus. Encircled by snow-capped mountains, the lake remains frozen in winter except for a small blessed area. Its water is believed to have miraculous powers. After sightseeing, return to the hotel for lunch.
Post-lunch, proceed to Lachung. Check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
Lachung: Located about 118 km from Gangtok at an altitude of 8,858 ft, Lachung is surrounded by snow-capped peaks, waterfalls, streams, and apple orchards. The town is known for its exquisite handicrafts and warm hospitality.
Yumthang Valley: Situated at an altitude of 11,800 ft and 25 km from Lachung, Yumthang Valley is a paradise of blooming rhododendrons during spring.
Mt. Katao: About 144 km from Gangtok and 28 km from Lachung, this mountain offers stunning views. During the winter season, adventure activities like skiing and snowboarding are also available. Entry requires permits from the army.
Zero Point (Yume Samdong): At an altitude of 15,300 ft, Zero Point offers breathtaking views of snow-clad mountains. Grazing yaks and rivers add to the beauty of this surreal landscape.
Return to Lachung for lunch before transferring to Gangtok. Check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, check out from hotel and transfer to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport for onward journey.

What's Good: We had a nice experience overall with the trip. The itinerary covered beautiful places, and everything was well-coordinated. Among all the spots, we liked Darjeeling the most — the (Read More) view, the vibe, and the climate were just perfect. It was a refreshing break, and we will definitely suggest this trip to our friends and family in the future.
What's Not Good: One small suggestion is that the package could have included the charges for Nathula Pass, the ropeway, and the toy train joy ride. These are major attractions, and including them would have made the trip even smoother and more fulfilling.

What's Good: "Recently, I went on a trip to Sikkim and Darjeeling with my family and some relatives, organized by Make My Holiday tour agency. The entire experience was absolutely wonderful. Ma (Read More)ke My Holiday provided excellent service — the hotels booked by them were comfortable and well-maintained. The car and driver arranged for us were also top-notch, making our journey smooth and enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic trip and we are extremely satisfied. In the future, if I plan to travel again, I would definitely prefer to go with Make My Holiday tour agency."
