Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport - Transfer to Gangtok
  • Arrive at NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport and meet our representative.
  • Transfer to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim.
  • Check-in at the hotel and freshen up.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the local markets or relaxing at the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at Gangtok.
  • After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake, located at an altitude of 12,400 feet.
  • Enjoy the serene beauty of the lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
  • Visit Baba Mandir, a revered shrine dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, a soldier of the Indian Army.
  • Return to Gangtok in the evening.
  • Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After an early breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Lachen. Visit scenic spots like Singhik View Point, Seven Sister Waterfall, and Naga Waterfall. Arrive in Lachen by evening and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Gurudongmar Lake: Situated at an altitude of 17,100 ft, Gurudongmar Lake is considered sacred by Buddhists and Hindus. Encircled by snow-capped mountains, the lake remains frozen in winter except for a small blessed area. Its water is believed to have miraculous powers. After sightseeing, return to the hotel for lunch.
Post-lunch, proceed to Lachung. Check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
Lachung: Located about 118 km from Gangtok at an altitude of 8,858 ft, Lachung is surrounded by snow-capped peaks, waterfalls, streams, and apple orchards. The town is known for its exquisite handicrafts and warm hospitality.
Yumthang Valley: Situated at an altitude of 11,800 ft and 25 km from Lachung, Yumthang Valley is a paradise of blooming rhododendrons during spring.
Mt. Katao: About 144 km from Gangtok and 28 km from Lachung, this mountain offers stunning views. During the winter season, adventure activities like skiing and snowboarding are also available. Entry requires permits from the army.
Zero Point (Yume Samdong): At an altitude of 15,300 ft, Zero Point offers breathtaking views of snow-clad mountains. Grazing yaks and rivers add to the beauty of this surreal landscape.
Return to Lachung for lunch before transferring to Gangtok. Check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, check out from hotel and transfer to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport for onward journey.

What's Good: I loved my short time in Bhutan. The hotels were Very nice and clean. Since I wanted to save money, I asked for only 3-star hotels, the hotel I was placed in were all very very (Read More) clean and included a breakfast buffet and dinner. We also stayed at a home stay out in the countryside with a beautiful valley-view and a wonderful host. The homestay allows one to have a more authentic experience staying and interacting with local Bhutanese people. We loved experiencing the delicious Bhutanese food and culture and will not hesitate to come again in the future. I was just not aware how much was included in our tour. We had guides taking us personally everywhere we went. And even dinner was included in our package! You can confidently utilize this company. They strive to go above and beyond your expectations.
What's Not Good: I could have been fine without including the dinner in our package and seeking out my own dinners outside. Had I mention Ed that to Asia Valley, I am sure they would have accommodated my request.

The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly, sharing fascinating insights throughout the trip. Our driver was very skilled and courteous, ensuring a safe and comfortable ride. The hotels they arranged were top-notch, offering excellent comfort and hospitality. Overall, Hitansh Wanderlust truly made our trip memorable with their outstanding service. Highly recommended!
What's Not Good: One hotel in Paro Udhamwara Resort. It was not as we excepted . Not recommended at all.

What's Good: ## Bhutan Experience Our journey through Bhutan was largely impressive, with knowledgeable guides who showcased the country's rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes with g (Read More)enuine enthusiasm. The drivers navigated the winding mountain roads with skill and professionalism, ensuring our comfort throughout most of the journey. However, our second night at Paro Rema Resort fell short of expectations in terms of dining. The food quality was disappointing compared to other meals we enjoyed in Bhutan, lacking both flavor and presentation that would be expected at a resort of this caliber. ## Sikkim Portion The transition between destinations proved problematic. Our transfer from Bhutan to Gangtok felt unnecessarily rushed, with a driver who seemed more concerned with completing the journey quickly than ensuring passenger comfort or allowing us to appreciate the scenic route. Upon arrival in Gangtok, we were pleased with our hotel's prime location on MG Road, offering convenient access to local attractions, shopping, and dining options. Unfortunately, the hotel's service standards did not match its excellent location. Staff responsiveness was inconsistent, and several basic amenities were either missing or required multiple requests. Overall, while the Bhutan portion of our tour delivered a memorable experience, the Sikkim segment would benefit from significant improvements to transportation and accommodation service quality.
