Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Ho Chi Minh Arrival - Half Day City Tour

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, meet your private transfer and check into your hotel in District 1 or 3. In the afternoon, embark on a half-day city tour covering Saigon’s historic landmarks such as the Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, the exterior of the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, and Ben Thanh Market. You’ll also pass by the Opera House, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee building, and stroll along Nguyen Hue Walking Street, capturing the vibrant energy of this dynamic city.

Today, explore the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network built by Viet Cong soldiers during the Vietnam War. Watch an introductory documentary, crawl through tunnel sections, and discover hidden bunkers, meeting rooms, field hospitals, and weapons storage areas. See the clever “Hoang Cam” smokeless kitchen, marvel at bomb craters, and examine wartime traps and relics. For an adventurous touch, you can visit the firing range to shoot AK-47s (extra cost) and taste tapioca, the staple food of wartime fighters.

Set off on a full-day excursion to My Tho, the gateway to the Mekong Delta. Cruise along the river and explore the famous Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise, and Phoenix Islands. Visit Thoi Son Island, renowned for its lush orchards and local crafts, and glide through the peaceful Chua Canal to reach Quoi Son Village. Here, immerse yourself in rural life, sampling local honey, tropical fruits, and handmade sweets, while soaking up the cultural charm of southern Vietnam.

Fly from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, where you’ll be transferred to the enchanting town of Hoi An. In the evening, stroll through the atmospheric Old Town and lively market. To make your night even more magical, enjoy a boat ride along the Thu Bon River, watching colorful lanterns light up the water and create a dreamy, unforgettable scene.
Today, journey to the famous Ba Na Hills, renowned for its cool climate and French colonial architecture. Take a scenic 20-minute cable car ride, one of the world’s longest, soaring over verdant forests and waterfalls. Explore the whimsical French Village, visit the iconic Golden Bridge supported by giant stone hands, and enjoy ample time for sightseeing and photos in this fairytale-like mountain setting before heading back to Da Nang.
Fly north to Hanoi, where you’ll transfer to the city center for an afternoon of exploration. Visit the exterior of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the beautiful Tran Quoc Pagoda by West Lake, and the famous Train Street, where daily life thrives alongside an active railway track. Experience the perfect blend of ancient history, local culture, and modern vibrancy that defines Vietnam’s capital.
Leave Hanoi for the natural wonder of Ha Long Bay, where you’ll board a luxury overnight cruise. Sip a welcome drink and enjoy a delicious lunch as you sail past striking limestone karsts and emerald-green waters. Explore iconic caves like Sung Sot (Surprise Cave) or Thien Cung (Heavenly Palace Cave), kayak or swim in peaceful lagoons, and savor a gourmet dinner on board. Optional activities include squid fishing or a Vietnamese cooking class before you settle into your private cabin under a starlit sky.
Wake up with a Tai Chi session on deck, followed by a hearty breakfast as the cruise glides through the bay’s scenic passages. Visit a local pearl farm to learn about pearl cultivation before enjoying brunch on board. Disembark and return to Hanoi, where you’ll have some free time in the afternoon to explore the city or relax at your hotel.
Today, set off on a full-day tour to the breathtaking Ninh Binh region, often called “Halong Bay on land.” Drift on a sampan boat through Tam Coc’s dramatic limestone cliffs and lush rice fields, visit the ancient temples of Hoa Lu—the former capital of Vietnam—and climb up Mua Cave for sweeping panoramic views of the countryside. Return to Hanoi in the evening for a restful overnight stay.
Depending on your flight time, enjoy free time at leisure before your private transfer takes you to Noi Bai International Airport for your onward journey, concluding your unforgettable Vietnam adventure.
