Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Pick up from the airport at 0630hrs and transfer to the office.
Meet the group and depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and Narok town for refueling.
Arrive at the camp in time for lunch.
Enjoy a short siesta before proceeding on the first game viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve.
Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 Maasai Mara Full Day Game Drive

After breakfast, embark on a full day of game viewing within the reserve.
Explore the scenic savannah grasslands on rolling hills.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at the hippo pool while watching for hippos and crocodiles.
Return to Enchoro Wildlife Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru

Have an African breakfast at the camp, followed by an optional cultural tour.
Interact with the locals and take photos to enhance your safari experience (tour lasts one hour).
Depart from Masai Mara and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park via the Narok-Mau Road.
Stop for a hot lunch en route and arrive in Nakuru in the evening.
Check in at Buraha Zenoni Hotel and Suite for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 Lake Nakuru to Nairobi

After breakfast, proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its prolific birdlife, including flamingos.
Spot other wildlife, such as Cape buffalo and waterbuck, near the shoreline.
Drive back to Nairobi with lunch en route, arriving between 1500hrs to 1600hrs.
Drop off at Nairobi Budget Hotel, booked on a half-board basis for dinner and breakfast.

Day 5 Nairobi to Arusha

Pick up from Nairobi Hotel and transfer to Jeevajee shuttle bus for the drive to Arusha.
Depart Nairobi at 0800hrs, with a stopover at Namanga border for Immigration.
Arrive in Arusha between 1400hrs and 1500hrs.
Transfer to Charity Hotel, reserved on a half-board basis.

Day 6 Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Start the Tanzania safari in the morning, departing for the Serengeti.
Enjoy a scenic four-hour drive to the Serengeti, followed by a full day and late evening game drive.
Dinner and overnight stay at Seronera Camp.

Day 7 Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Proceed for an early morning game drive, then return to the camp for breakfast.
Pack and depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Arrive at Simba Camp for dinner and overnight stay (tents with beds and bedding).

Day 8 Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, descend 2000ft into the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater before ascending and driving back to Arusha.
Arrive at Charity Hotel between 1730hrs and 1830hrs, booked on a bed and breakfast basis.
End of the tour.

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.

Everything went smooth and was detailed. Communication was flawless. The experie (Read More)nce was seamless and well organised. Our guide Ben was fantastic and knowledgable so we feel we made a friend in Kenya too. James was superb in helping us plan the trip and with suggestions for stay. All in all it was such a special vacation and I can’t wait to explore more of Africa. People are great ! So warm and friendly and what a truly blessed country with so much nature and wildlife. I would highly recommend Wild Portraits and James and Ben for your travel to Kenya.

please be careful while entering the country at immigration - make sure your pas (Read More)sport is stamped. We had some issue with this. Can’t complain about anything else. It was beyond our expectations.

The responsiveness of Christine (person overall responsible for arrangements)and (Read More) knowledge from Evance (our driver and guide for national parks)about national parks was excellent. We stayed and covered Nairobi, Masai, Naivasha and Daini.. All stays and safaris were perfect could not have asked for better.

We chose Van but we think land cruiser would have been a better option especiall (Read More)y for being comfortable in muddy terrains.

After screening and talking to about 5 travel operators, I decided to go with Na (Read More)ture Romp for an 8 day safari in Kenya. Their rate was competitive and selection of lodges to stay very good. Initially I was skeptical due to less reviews about Nature Romp in public domain. However when I talked to Yvonne, I understood that theirs is a fairly new company and decided to go with them. We (my daughter and I) opted for a private tour covering Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli. We were received at the airport and the next day Yvonne, Lucy and Maxwell (guide cum driver) welcomed us at the hotel, early morning of the Safari start. We instantly felt at home and from then onwards it was a memorable trip. Our guide Maxwell is an excellent guide. He knew about birds and animals, their behavior and diligent in driving. He was always on time.

Nothing in particular. Only one stay (at Naivasha) could have been closer to the (Read More) national park. It was nevertheless a good place but not great for bird photography
