Detailed Itinerary
- Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), you will be transferred to the Sarova Panafric Hotel or Ole-Sereni Hotel (you can be upgraded to a five-star accommodation on request), where you will spend the night on a bed and breakfast basis.
- Depending on the time your flight arrives, the rest of the day is at leisure.
- An optional dinner at the carnivore restaurant.
- After breakfast, you will depart from Nairobi for the Masai Mara National Reserve.
- Enjoy a game drive en route to the lodge.
- Lunch will be served on arrival, followed by an afternoon game drive through the reserve to the endless reaches of acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills where lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and numerous plain animals are in abundance.
- Return for dinner at the Masai Mara Sopa Lodge and relax in comfort.
- Enjoy morning game viewing with a long drive to the Mara river, where you can view hippos and crocodiles.
- After lunch at the lodge, go on an afternoon game drive, followed by a visit to a Masai manyatta or homestead to see the Masai culture.
- In the evening, enjoy a nature walk safari with a resident naturalist to experience the awakening of Africa in Masai land at sunset.
- After breakfast, you will be driven to Lake Nakuru in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge followed by an afternoon game drive.
- Lake Nakuru is a soda lake, home to the greater and lesser flamingos. At times, you may see a lion crawling on the water's edge, or if you are a bird lover you will spot different bird species.
- Today, you will depart early in the morning towards Amboseli, stopping off for lunch and game viewing on the way.
- You will stay overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge on a full board basis.
- Amboseli is famous for its unforgettable views of Kilimanjaro, a relaxed abundant population of elephants, and prolific bird life.
- Today, you will rise early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit.
- You will set off for another stimulating "spice" game drive.
- Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from wildebeest to giraffes and baboons.
- A visit to a Masai village is planned after breakfast.
- In midday, you will return to the lodge for lunch and afternoon rest, followed by another extensive "spice" game drive.
- After breakfast, you will depart for Nairobi or Mombasa.
- For today, breakfast will be included in the price.
- Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
