Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Guwahati to Nameri (240km/5hrs)

Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, our representative will welcome you and guide you to a designated vehicle for transfer to Nameri. Enjoy a scenic drive through the lush landscapes of Assam. Upon reaching Nameri, check in at the hotel for a overnight stay in Nameri

Start the day with an early morning bird-watching tour in Nameri National Park, home to over 300 species of birds and the rare "White-Winged Wood Duck." Adventure seekers can opt for a smooth rafting session on the Jia Borali River or enjoy a trek through the park. Post breakfast, depart for Dirang. En route, experience stunning landscapes with misty rivers and breathtaking waterfalls.

After breakfast, explore the small hill station of Dirang. Visit the Kalachakra Gompa (Dirang Monastery), witness kiwi orchards, and tour Dirang Dzong, a 150-year-old fort offering panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. Later, proceed to Tawang. En route, drive through the scenic Sela Pass (13,700 ft), one of the highest motorable roads, and visit the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. Enjoy the stunning Nuranang Falls before arriving in Tawang.

Post breakfast, begin your Tawang exploration with a visit to the iconic Tawang Monastery, the largest Buddhist monastery in India. Discover age-old artifacts related to the Monpa people and enjoy panoramic views of Tawang. Visit the Tawang War Memorial, built in memory of the soldiers who fought in the 1962 Sino-Indian War. In the evening, visit the Craft Centre Emporium and shop for traditional Mompa masks and carpets.

After breakfast, head to the stunning Shonga-tser Lake (Madhuri Lake), nestled amidst snow-capped mountains. Next, visit Bum La Pass (15,200 ft), the Indo-China border. Stop by Heart Lake, PTSO Lake, and Naghula Lake, all offering breathtaking views. After a full day of exploration, return to your hotel.

Post breakfast, depart for Bomdila. Upon arrival, visit Bomdila Monastery, established in 1965, and explore the beautiful Tipi Orchidarium, home to over 5000 orchid species. Stroll through the Bomdila local market in the evening before returning to your hotel.

What's Good: Professional services
What's Not Good: Hotels in manali could have been better. Also, hotels should provide both North Indian and South Indian cuisine. Hotel in Manali (Read More)didn't even have a First Aid kit which is thought off as a must in hotels.

What's Good: Followup by tour operator was good. Hotel accommodation was also good and comfortable
What's Not Good: Did not provide vehicle as promised but charged for the same extra (Read More)for Nathula pass which caused lot of discomfort to us since all 4 of us are senior citizens . On other days vehicles provided were in good condition and no issue with them
