Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Bagdogra Airport (Ixb)/Railway Station (Njp) & Transfer to Gangtok
Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or Railway Station (NJP), you will be greeted by our representative. You will then board your vehicle for a transfer to Gangtok. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
  • Tsomgo Lake: Located 38 km from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 ft, the ethereally beautiful Tsomgo Lake is a must-visit. A winding road through rugged mountain terrain and sharp cliffs leads to the lake, whose water is fed by melting snow from the surrounding mountains. The lake transforms with the seasons—remaining frozen in winter and surrounded by blooming flowers in late spring.
  • Baba Mandir: Situated between Nathula and Jelepla Pass at an altitude of 13,123 ft (about 52 km from Gangtok), Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple is a revered site. Harbhajan Singh, a sentry of the Punjab Regiment, is believed to have appeared in the dreams of his colleagues after his death in 1968, asking them to build a memorial in his honor.
  • Optional – Nathula Pass: Nathula Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, is located on the Indo-China border at 14,450 ft. It offers picturesque views and is one of the three open trading posts between India and China. Nathula is closed on Mondays for tourists. A 72-hour window and proper documentation (two passport-sized photos and a valid photo ID such as Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License) are required to obtain a permit. Note: Aadhaar and PAN cards are not accepted.
  • In case of landslides or other unforeseen circumstances, alternative sightseeing arrangements will be provided. After exploring Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, or Nathula Pass, return to Gangtok for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour in Gangtok. You will visit:
  • Hanuman Tok
  • Jhakri Falls
  • Ganesh Tok
After the tour, transfer to Kalimpong. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Kalimpong. You will visit:
  • Deolo Hill
  • Durpin Monastery
  • Pine View Nursery (Cactus Garden)
  • Hanuman Temple
  • Mangal Dham

After the tour, return to your hotel. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Darjeeling. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Start your day early (4:00 AM) with a visit to:
  • Tiger Hill: Witness the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Kangchenjunga (28,208 ft), the world’s third-highest peak.
  • Return to the hotel for breakfast before continuing your sightseeing tour, which includes:
  • Ghoom Monastery
  • Batasia Loop
  • Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park
  • Himalayan Mountaineering Institute
  • Natural History Museum
  • Tenzing Rock
  • Happy Valley Tea Estate
  • Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre
  • Ropeway
  • Japanese Temple

After the tour, return to your hotel. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Recommended: Spend your evening exploring the local market, shopping, or enjoying leisure time at the Mall Road & Chowrasta.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and depart for Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or Railway Station (NJP) for your onward journey.

What's Good: We liked every aspect of the tour to Bhutan. The tour and travel agent M/s A V travels Jaigon has done a great job to make the tour very much enjoyable. Sundeep's Trip to Paro, Punakha, Thimphu, Eastern Bhutan, Bhutan

What's Good: ## Bhutan Experience Our journey through Bhutan was largely impressive, with knowledgeable guides who showcased the country's rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes with g (Read More)enuine enthusiasm. The drivers navigated the winding mountain roads with skill and professionalism, ensuring our comfort throughout most of the journey. However, our second night at Paro Rema Resort fell short of expectations in terms of dining. The food quality was disappointing compared to other meals we enjoyed in Bhutan, lacking both flavor and presentation that would be expected at a resort of this caliber. ## Sikkim Portion The transition between destinations proved problematic. Our transfer from Bhutan to Gangtok felt unnecessarily rushed, with a driver who seemed more concerned with completing the journey quickly than ensuring passenger comfort or allowing us to appreciate the scenic route. Upon arrival in Gangtok, we were pleased with our hotel's prime location on MG Road, offering convenient access to local attractions, shopping, and dining options. Unfortunately, the hotel's service standards did not match its excellent location. Staff responsiveness was inconsistent, and several basic amenities were either missing or required multiple requests. Overall, while the Bhutan portion of our tour delivered a memorable experience, the Sikkim segment would benefit from significant improvements to transportation and accommodation service quality.
