Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival Hanoi (L/D)

Pick up at Noi Bai Airport. Transfer to Hanoi and visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the final resting place of Vietnam's revolutionary leader; Presidential Palace, a grand French colonial building and official residence of the President; and One Pillar Pagoda, a unique Buddhist temple built in 1049, resembling a lotus blossom. Then, tour Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, which is located on a small island in West Lake.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit: Hoan Kiem Lake - ascenic lake associated with the legend of the magical sword, Ngoc Son Temple - a temple on a small island in Hoan Kiem Lake, accessed via the red Huc Bridge and enjoy the Water Puppet Show - A traditional Vietnamese art form depicting legends and daily life.

The dinner buffet at Sen Tay Ho Restaurant is known for its variety of Vietnamese dishes and seafood. Afterward, transfer to the hotel for rest.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken to Ninh Binh. The first destination is a boat tour of Tam Coc—Bich Dong, often referred to as "Halong Bay on land." You'll glide along the Ngo Dong River, passing through stunning limestone karsts, lush rice paddies, and serene caves.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afterward, visit the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, the political and economic center of Vietnam in the 10th and 11th centuries. Explore the historical temples dedicated to the Dinh and Le kings and learn about the rich history of this former royal capital.

Afterward, we journey back to Hanoi. Upon arrival in Hanoi, check in your hotel. You will have free time to relax, explore the night scenes of Hanoi, go shopping, and enjoy dinner at your leisure.

After breakfast, head to Ha Long. Upon arrival, embark on a cruise to explore Halong Bay. Sail through the emerald waters and enjoy a seafood lunch onboard. Marvel at the bay's breathtaking beauty, including unique formations like Fighting-Cock Islet, Dinh Huong Islet, and Trinh Nu Cave. Explore Sung Sot Cave before returning to shore.

After disembarking and returning to Hanoi, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Then, proceed to the train station to board the train to Sa Pa.

After being picked up at Lao Cai Train Station, you'll be transferred to Sa Pa. Get ready for a fantastic day in Sa Pa! Start with a delicious breakfast to fuel up. Then, it's time for the highlight: conquering Fansipan Peak, the "Roof of Indochina," via an exciting cable car ride. Take in breathtaking views as you ascend to new heights.

Afterward, enjoy an international buffet amidst the stunning mountain landscape. Next, wander through downtown Sa Pa, soaking up the lively atmosphere and uncovering hidden treasures.

Continue your adventure with a visit to Cat Cat Village, where you'll experience local culture and craftsmanship in a picturesque setting.

Wrap up the day with a leisurely dinner, whether trying local dishes or exploring culinary delights on your own. Sa Pa offers a perfect mix of natural beauty and cultural charm.

In the morning, you will visit Ham Rong Mountain, including Ham Rong flower garden, Thach Lam rock garden, and the summit of Ham Rong Mountain.

On the way to the summit, you will walk up stone steps, passing through various scenic spots such as the Orchid Garden, Peach Garden, Sapa Telecommunication Station, Cloud Yard, and Heaven's Gate, giving you a heavenly experience.

Lunch will be at a local restaurant, and afterward, you will drive back to Hanoi.

Upon arrival, have dinner at a local restaurant. Then check into your hotel and relax or explore Hanoi's nightlife alone.

After breakfast, enjoy some free time in Hanoi for last-minute shopping or sightseeing. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End of tour.

What's Good: ## Bhutan Experience Our journey through Bhutan was largely impressive, with knowledgeable guides who showcased the country's rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes with g (Read More)enuine enthusiasm. The drivers navigated the winding mountain roads with skill and professionalism, ensuring our comfort throughout most of the journey. However, our second night at Paro Rema Resort fell short of expectations in terms of dining. The food quality was disappointing compared to other meals we enjoyed in Bhutan, lacking both flavor and presentation that would be expected at a resort of this caliber. ## Sikkim Portion The transition between destinations proved problematic. Our transfer from Bhutan to Gangtok felt unnecessarily rushed, with a driver who seemed more concerned with completing the journey quickly than ensuring passenger comfort or allowing us to appreciate the scenic route. Upon arrival in Gangtok, we were pleased with our hotel's prime location on MG Road, offering convenient access to local attractions, shopping, and dining options. Unfortunately, the hotel's service standards did not match its excellent location. Staff responsiveness was inconsistent, and several basic amenities were either missing or required multiple requests. Overall, while the Bhutan portion of our tour delivered a memorable experience, the Sikkim segment would benefit from significant improvements to transportation and accommodation service quality.

Me and my wife both senior citizens took the Bhutan trip through Sri Balaji Tours and Travels. Right from the moment we stepped out at Bagdogra airport where a car was waiting to pick us up we didn't (Read More) have to worry about anything. On arrival at Jaigaon Mr Omkar took us thru immigration and checked us in at the hotel in Phuntsholing. Next morning we drove to Thimphu in a comfortable six seater suv with our guide Mr Gem who was indeed a real gem with his knowledge of his country and his helpful nature. During the drive he kept us engaged with his inputs about Bhutan, its culture and people and had ready answers to our queries. On the six day tour our stay was very comfortable in very good hotels and also food was excellent.( Breakfast and dinner being part of the package). During lunch our guide gave us a taste of different Bhutanese food every day. The itinerary was very relaxed, covering all places. In addition our guide also gave us the experience of watching an archery competition and dart throwing too. We also stopped at markets, scenic places and riversides whenever we felt like. Our guide helped us with shopping too. Mr Tenzing was an excellent driver and with him and the guide with us we felt very safe and carefree. In short the entire tour was a breeze with excellent food and very good stay everywhere and the itinerary was very well planned. Thanks to Mr Omkar and RajGupta from pick up at airport at Bagdogra and drop back on the 7th day everything went very well and I would say we got more than what we expected in terms of experience and value for money spent.
