Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi - Ol Pejeta Wildlife Conservancy
Pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or airport at 07:30 AM and begin your scenic drive towards the Mt. Kenya region. Arrive at your lodge/camp near Ol Pejeta Conservancy—home to one of Africa’s most unique wildlife projects.
Spend the afternoon exploring Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where you can see rescued chimps in a semi-wild environment. Ol Pejeta is also a vital black rhino breeding zone and houses two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhinos.

Optional: Night game drive to spot nocturnal wildlife (available at an extra cost).

Enjoy a full day of game drives across the stunning Laikipia Plateau, with views of Mount Kenya in the backdrop. Spot lions, elephants, cheetahs, and other plains game in this private conservancy. The flexibility of a private safari means you can pace your day how you like.

Depart early and head towards the Great Rift Valley with a stop at the scenic viewpoint to admire this natural geological wonder. Marvel at Mount Longonot, a dormant volcano with a massive crater.

On the way, pass by a historical Italian church built during WWII. Arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the freshwater lake, home to hippos and 400+ bird species. And later, take a nature walk on Crescent Island, often called the “hidden gem” for wildlife viewing on foot.

After breakfast, begin your journey south to Amboseli National Park, known for its majestic views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy scenic stops along the way before arriving at Sentrim Amboseli Lodge in time for lunch.
In the evening, head out for your first Amboseli game drive, ending the day with golden-hour photography opportunities and silhouettes of elephants against Kilimanjaro.

Enjoy a flexible day of game viewing:
  • Start early with a packed breakfast for the best chance to spot rare species like African wildcats, civets, and honey badgers
  • Visit Lake Amboseli, a dry lakebed offering excellent photography of elephants and herbivores
  • Optional: Break for lunch and return for an afternoon drive or enjoy a full-day safari with picnic meals
  • Amboseli is famed for its huge elephant herds, dramatic landscapes, and stunning sunrises.

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive back to Nairobi, arriving by early evening. You will be dropped off at  Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
